Captain America & Hawkeye #630

High praise for the new creative take on this title gets quickly downgraded to... average for this sequel. That's not negative. The David-vs-Goliath factor became a bit unlikely and unclearly against those odds for this issue long fight. Too many arrows on hand and too many successful shield slings. Still, that's probably what fans want: never say die effort. The banter was upbeat and boring at the same time; while the heavy inks was evocative and dull at the same time.

Venom. Enemy. Enama. Y'just knew the cool name of Ms. Vennema had to be bad. ;)

The surprise villain reveal was fanboy fun. Curious, if people took him to be Venema's boss or was are they been misdirected from an unrevealed player? Also, if Marvel is tying this in with the Saurian race from that Serpentyne issue in the greatest superhero's title ROM then... high praise there!

Still positive vibes from this book.

I'm really loving this series. At first I was on the fence of actually getting due to the goofyness of the threat but it really is turning out to a very good read.

Can't wait! This book is near the top of my reading list. And that's a good thing since I will pretty much be dropping Avenging Spider-Man since Zeb Wells is off it.
