Well that's interesting! What happened with their customer service? I cancelled my subscription when I started logging into Forums because comics through the mail were late by almost 2 weeks after releasing them at the LCS. Everyone here was going on and on and on about the issues and I'd still yet to see them!

Holy hell, a Batwoman/Wonder Woman team-up? That's the coolest, most unexpected - but classically obvious and cool - thing I've heard in months.

That's like, a partnership that could be on the Batman/Superman, Lantern/Flash, Hawk/Atom, "Brave/Bold", "World's Finest" level of popular. So many similarities and disparities to compare, contrast and have fun with. Man I wish Rucka was here for it, but I think Williams & Blackman'll do the honors well.

Also even with Diana's New 52 costume, they're way, way, way more fashionable than their counterparts in the Bat/Supes duo.

It wont be anything like those... Batwoman is a mere derivative of another guy, quite frankly Wonder Woman is too good for her... she needs a better partner.

Wonder Woman/One of Batman's guys will never rival Superman/Batman.

I'm really surprised they did that for Batwoman who is still selling very well (10,000 more copies than Catwoman in April). What a shame. :(

I'm stoked to see a Batwoman/WW team up. I wonder...just judging from the image, if it'll be a Medousa inspired encounter. Or does it harken back to the current Amazonian state of snakes?

    Isn't Hera a redhead?

Uh, that's Bloody Mairy. You know, the classic ghost story? Notice the mirror. She's a villain in Batwoman.

I'd love the Batwoman villains, like Bloody Mary and Weeping Woman but they're DIRECT and EXACT copies of the actual characters in folklore, that debases the impression they have on me, they could've done that for anybody, they might as well be Nightwing villains. Find it difficult to care for the supporting cast. Moreover, the layout in Batwoman can get a bit confusing, but I might give #12 a chance.

PS. I thought Hera was blonde?

On the WW/BW note, yeah while it would be cool, it lacks the originality and oomph that Bats and Supes have. I agree that being a Batman derivative kinda ruins things a bit for me. I can see it ending up like Batgirl and Supergirl. However, that aside, I do think the character of Batwoman will blend better with Diana than Black Canary. Just my opinion.

Well Batwoman has become DC's hero who fights folklore ghosts and stories. I'm guessing they ll create new ghost villains if they run out of real ones. But Bloody Mairy is very interesting and cool so far.

Batwoman may be derivative of Batman, but she isnt a sidekick. She also has a very good and respected book so she has earned her right to be considered a... B list hero? I doubt this will be the new S/B of course. But it's a team up that could work based on the similarities between the books and the threats they face.

I think the actual S/B teamup for Wondy will be with Aquaman. Johns said they ll be close friends, their franchises are based on greek myth, they re both "warriors" and royal members, so there's a lot of stuff there. And lol, i cant wait to see Mera's face when Aquaman first introduces her to WW.

Can't blame the gal, she had her head cut off by Wondy in an alternate universe - OUCH !!

As for the team up, I actually quite like it but sadly like you said, its not on the level of the World's Finest. But I do think it's better than Aquaman :P

Yea, I get that Batwoman is the go-to heroine for fighting creatures of folk-lore, but Wonder Woman manages to draw from Greek Mythology while maintaining a high level of originality, at least the relaunch and the new designs/personalities. The problem is, with Batwoman, I can't give credit to the creative team for these amazing villains. At all. They only had to copy and paste them onto the Batwoman mythos.

Well we did get Alice as her first and main villain. She was new.

About the folklore ghosts, i dont mind it. No other book has used them, so it's not boring or anything. The WW book needed to redesign the greek gods because we've seen them a thousand times. And i wouldnt say that the ghost designs arent cool or innovative. The Weeping Woman had a triple look, she was a skeleton, an old woman, and a young woman at the same time. It was really good!

Boring isn't the point, I already said I like 'em, it's just that...I've read these stories before. I don't have any problem with the design or appearance. There isn't any "problem" as such, at all, just laying out what I feel. That said, Weeping Woman is my favourite.

If the layout was better I'd like the book much more.

Nevertheless, I'm more excited about seeing Wonder Woman rendered by JH William. :D
