sure, he can stand with the avengers jerks. i made a whole thread on this forum detailing the extreme dirtbag behavior of quicksilver (and scarlet witch) a while back.

suggesting he be let into the illuminati is insulting to that group, however.

Hawkeye, yeah I could see that, although if I had to choose between them, I'd call Tony more of a jerk than Clint.

Someone mentioned Ares, he's a jerk, but he's a god/demi-god (whichever) so they all have massive egos, centuries of life experience, etc... I kinda give him a pass.

And while Mantis USED to be made for this list, now she's just a sweetie, so no, she shouldn't be included.

What about Wolverine? He can be a total jerk, and he's an Avenger.

Not sure if he fits the criteria since he's not officially an "Avenger", although always on the ancillary, but good ole Nick Fury is pretty much a full-on bastard all the time. And I love him for it.

I don't think Wolverine fits here. And, surprise, surprise, it's not because I loathe his Avengers membership. Actually, I just don't think he's jerk enough to be among these guys. Granted, Logan can be crude, and say things that no one wants to hear. He can ignore others and do things his own way. But, look at that list. Everybody there thinks he/she is better than everybody else for some reason.

Quicksilver - Homo superior and proud of it.
Hawkeye - Doesn't think anybody is good enough to give him orders, and there that whole "I'm important in the Avengers because I took over when the founders left. I should have founder status" crap.
Namor - King of Atlantis. The Avenging Son. And nobody better forget that.
US Agent - Uncle Sam made him an Avenger, so he's better than any of those losers.
Doctor Druid - Master of the Mind and that whole aristocrat attitude.

Logan has all those issues about being an animal, about being less than human. He may occasionally behave like a jerk, but he is not a jerk, like those guys.

How fortunate that Namor isn't inbred, since his mother 'outbred' with a common airbreather sea captain. And since both Black Bolt and Namor have dealt with coups and come back from exile, their social power is due in part to both wit and merit.
