So you can't say you hate Sam Fury because he is Ultimate Nick Fury because he is not. You only hate him because he is black.
Don't do that. Calling someone a racist is a much bigger deal than you obviously realize. You're throwing around an accusation about the very core of a person's character who you don't even know. You also accused him of hating two people who he didn't even say he didn't like. You made it obvious that what you wanted to do was start a mean spirited exchange with him. Don't do that.

I think its just a shoutout but its too soon to say whether or not Miles might make a full blown appearance.

I dont really think Miles should get another on-going solo in the 616 because his ultmate tiltle suffice and there are other characters they could use a solo with.

I rather see spencer write spider woman, spider girl or madame web than another spider-dude title.

Unless miles is gonna take over for pete come issue 700 but that might be throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

Why did my posts get deleted? Binky Boy is a reference to Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series...

Yay I'm not gonna lie, I felt awkward discussing it.

And, yes, the Season One books are canon, meaning Morales is officially part of 616.

Secondly, I came across this conversation on SomethingAwful:

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
E the Shaggy: Nick Spencer has a strange, strange background.

Skeematic:I thought that his issues of Secret Avengers were really soap boxy. I feel duped by Spencer. Morning Glories is really good (although the last few issues have been a bit iffy), but everything that I've read from the big 2 have been snoozers. Ultimate X-men is horrible, and he admitted to only writing it for the money, and you can tell.

d00gZ: Wait, did he actually say that about UXM? I'd love a link.

Skeematic: You'll probably hate me for this because its not actually in print anywhere, just word of mouth. A friend of mine was at the Calgary Expo in April and got a commission from Riley Rossmo (working with Spencer on Bedlam) and they were talking for a while and Rossmo told my friend that Spencer told him that.

So yeah, I guess its kind of a rumor instead of straight out admittance, but it wouldnt suprise me since his mainstream stuff is pretty bad.

Lofidelity Media:This is kind of hilarious since Kirkman basically killed the original Ultimate X-Men for the same reasons.

He used Marvel's money to pay his bills while he pushed all of his talent into Invincible and Walking Dead.

Which, shit, if you're in a place to do that, more power to you.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And so begins the plot to kill off Peter in the Marvel Universe and replace him with Miles Morales too. I think this is what should've happened in the 616 and not happened in the 1610, but that's just my opinoin.
Life has its own share of twists and turns. Pick friends who are willing to keep you on the roller coaster.

More power to ya.. I decided I didn't like it after a few pages but I still couldn't stop reading it. The character is great enough that anything he's in is gonna be great. But still, Daredevil Yellow will probably always be my favorite flashback story. Man Without Fear is great but just too dark to be a lot of fun.

I couldn't see him getting his own solo book and I don't think there's any way Marvel would do that unless they wanted to totally destroy the relevance of the Ultimate line.. which I'm pretty sure they really love considering the writers and artists they're putting on Ultimate books.

I could see, and would probably enjoy, Miles becoming an important character, if not permanently, maybe just for a short arc. He could be a 15 year old kid who has always idolized Spider-Man and sets out to be like him and fails because of his lack of powers, and has to be rescued by Spidey again. Or maybe his childhood experience with being saved by Spidey leads him to try to be Spider-Man's sidekick. Him and Ganke could both be involved and maybe use social media to help Spider-Man solve a crime going on in their school. Anything beyond that would probably be very lame though.

    Too late for that.

With the Avengers film and the money its making-Black Fury is here to stay. What Marvel did is the same thing that is making it hard for DC to put together 85% of their films. You can't go back to the old Nick Fury (comic wise maybe) and not get a backlash like Green Lantern film did. Noncomic book reading fans grew up with John Stewart as GL and tuned out Hal's film before th first bad review could come out.

Beside what black hero could you put in that film? War Machine? Or Miles as Spidey?

As for Miles. All Marvel is doing is taking advantage of the free press they got when the whole Donald Glover as Spidey started. Despite the fact Miles was already in the works before that.

They are taking advantage of that empty market-the black male teen hero (Cyborg doesn't count). Since DC has ruined every single one to the point once Firestorm gets axed-not 1 book will feature one. Unlike Marvel-who have some around-they just don't have the media attention Miles got.

So what are you going to do? MILK IT! Now does this mean we are going to be seeing Miles swinging around in 616? I doubt it. Why take away from the other book.

Although there is NOTHING stopping Marvel from "revising" his origin in 616.

Peter signs up for Big Brothers & Sisters and Miles is his little brother.
Miles gets a She-Hulk moment with Peter (think about it).
Don't forget Miles's link to the Prowler.
Or the worst-yet funny idea-Miles and Peter are cousins via adoption.

But do we need to put miles in the 616 since he hasnt gotten the mainstream appeal that fury has gotten through the movies and pete still has mainstream appeal due to the movie and the cartoons?

Even if this is just an easter egg - a little shout out to the fans - in the end we all know that it only takes one guy, on one run on Spider-Man, to decide to use it as an excuse to introduce the character into the mainstream franchise properly. Hell, it could even be Bendis himself one day.

I'd consider it an inevitability that Miles Morales will feature within the mainstream Spider-Man books, and sooner rather than later, too.

Which, really, is kind of disappointing. It's seeming less and less like the Ultimate line is anything more than a test ground for its bigger brother. Are all these world shattering changes in the UU just experiments to see which is the most popular with fans so they can start adapting them elsewhere? Will The People be fighting the Avengers within a few years?

Whatever will they think of next? 616 Peter Parker in the UU?
2000-2006: Golden Age of the UU
    2007-2009: Age of Loebotomy
    2009-2011: Post-Ultimatum Era
2011-????: Silver Age of the UU
