    Default Sherlock S2 in PBS

Anybody saw the first episode: Scandal in Belgravia?

I saw it back when it first aired in the UK but I was wondering what did people across the pond thought of it.

In my opinion: It was AWESOME!!!!

To provide context: Sherlock Holmes was to me what Harry Potter was aparently to everybody else in my generation and after the bad taste the second movie left this series -begining to end- was just what I needed. I particulary loved Laura Pulver as Irene Adler. Back in my teens I had a little crush on Irene Adler but I outgrew it... or so I though! This series is to Sherlock Holmes, what The Dark Knight Trilogy is to Batman. But any way. Enough of my fanboy squees. I want to know what you guys thought.

I loved it. I caught the first season on Netflix, and now I am watching the second season and I really enjoy it. It is ridiculously well done.

Loved the first episode. Love this series. The long wait between seasons and the limited episodes is killer, but when you think of them as three full-length movies and not episodes it helps it go down smoother.

I saw Hounds of Baskerville and liked it. I haven't read that book but I have read some of the short stories. Having done so, I must say I was a little put off by just how much of an asshole Sherlock was. Yeah, he's odd and at times difficult in the stories...but here I kept thinking somebody needs to shove or smack him already. He'd deserve it.

I wasn't a big fan of the scene where he's waving his hands around like the guy from 'Alphas' to show him sorting through the information in his mind like a computer.

The first series was great except for the very very last moment of the last episode.
Can't wait to catch the new ones.

I thought Baskerville was the weakest episode of the series so far... but considering that I've only seen 5 episodes and all are real high quality that doesn't mean too much.

Loved the first episode of this season and the buzz for episode 3 is big.

watched the first season on Netflix and the second as it aired on BBC...great series. I agree with the above that the Baskervilles episode was the weakest...

Season 1 was all fantastic and Season 2 is ALMOST as good..with the Baskerville ep. being the one somewhat "down" note...ep's 1 and 3 are GREAT though.

The bit with Sherlock f**king with Watson while he was "locked" in the lab was hilarious.

Well, it'll be about a year before we get a resolution to that cliffhanger.

... I should probably get both series on Blu-Ray to hold me over.

I'm a lifelong Holmes fan (started reading the original stories in elementary school) and while I've enjoyed many previous adaptations of the character I think this is the best.

That's more keeping with the Holmes in the earliest of his stories (People usually say the change happenend after Final Problem but I think it happened earlier) where he was more of an ass.

That's an actual mnemotic method though. It's called the Loci method and it does work like it was described in the show.

OK So SPOILERS FOR AN 100 YEAR OLD STORY

How do you guys think he faked it?

And what do you guys think of this episode and season?

    I LOVED Belgravia.
Loved the individual parts of Hound but only really liked the sum of those parts.

And was amazed that Reichenbach actually got an emotional response from me, even though I knew what was going to happen. Unlike the Game of shadows film which would be ok if we didn't had this to compare it too.

Season 2 was very good even better then season 1 it left my brain thinking on how Sherlock did what he did in the season finale. Because there are clues in the episodes to how he faked his death so well.
