    Default Being Denied Pain Medication

    http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/htm..._silent12.html

I just linked to this article to provide some perspective.

Both of my parents, specifically my mother, have various problems with them that require pain medicine. These medicines are being more tightly restricted by state government, and as a consequence, my parents are in more pain than ever. This effects their jobs and time at home. Sometimes, they can't even think straight. They are being treated with disdain as "drug seekers" when they try to get what they need in spite of having no history of drug abuse from either one of them. Neither of them know what to do.

What can be done about this?

Have your parents tried going to a pain control specialist? Not a GP who bills himself as a pain specialist but an actualy physician that specializes in paind control? If their pain is related to their bones then have them go to an orthopedist.
