Really not a fan of the art-style there. Not at all.
Why aren't you reading Winter Soldier? You should be!
The entire movie should be based on the dog surviving and getting its revenge
Yeesh, DCAU really must not want people to buy Superman. That's awful, mediocre looking animation.

I can't believe those characters are supposed to be analogues for Authority.
Well..I wanted to like it.
But it really looks like it has some cheap production quality, not sure it's worth it. Guess I'll have to wait till the reviews start coming out.
The Authority were superheroes that looked the part and did some bad/morally questionable things for the greater good.
The Elite is a bunch of supervillains that just so happen to kill off the badguys when they go on a rampage.
There's no grey area, there's no subtlety to them, you're suppoused to agree with Superman and that's it, and now they even kill a dog off to make that point even HARDER.
Plus, I personally find the art mediocre. I would accept something like this for a tv series, not for an entire movie.
Yeah I mean, this was the problem I had with the original story, but I thought with them expanding on this issue into a 75 minute movie, they would give more time to build up the Elite, etc. I thought they would fix some of those things to make the case more compelling, but yeah the killing the dog just means they're all the more straw man.
I remember an Authority/JLA crossover was nixed because DC wanted Ellis to have the Authority think they're wrong and he obviously disagreed/
That doesn't make them villains in that they didn't care if people got hurt. It would if they went after civilians intentionally. The Elite were meant to demonstrate the idea of causally disregarding the sanctity of life. Not just in not killing the villains, but in also looking out for the innocents caught in the crossfire. And no, it wasn't meant to be a gray area. If there was, Kelly would've written it that way. That's why when he did "Justice League Elite", he took a different approach.
