Since we have recent movie versions of Black Widow, Catwoman and Silk Spectre II, and since I know little about comics, I was wondering if there are any other powrless superwomen in comics? Can anyone name me any highly skilled, ass kicking chicks?

Those are all cool, but are there any that aren't so much involved in another characters comic universe?
Ones that operate more alone huh? A couple I know have had solo books but they all spun out of bigger characters/teams.
Scarlet is an ICON title by Bendis...
Nik Hasta: "I'm not a ninja dammit!"
Elewa - SHR3
Respect Killy! (BLAME!?)
Respect the Mamudo Children!
Cassandra Cain had her own Batgirl title for over 70 issues.
Off the top of my head.
- Her famous battle against Chameleon where she kicked his ass with a lamp.
- She once stopped Styx and Stone from killing her husband by firing randomly in their direction.
- She handled a crazy stalker cop by talking him down and then knocking him out.
- She used her wits to take out Swarm after Peter had revealed his secret identity during Civil War.
- During Inferno she distracted a demonic Hobgoblin thus saving her husband.
- Was once confronted by three street thugs while on the subway. She glared at them until they backed off.
- From what I hear she used her spider-powers rather well during Spider-Island.
- In general she's just able to keep her calm quite well during superhuman situations.
- Oh yeah, she once shot Green Goblin in the chest.

There are like 17 members of the bat family with their own books, including two females (now) with solo books.
But really, there aren't significantly more unpowered MEN with their own books. Actually, I can only think of:
Green Arrow
Batman and other Batty people
Hawkeye sometimes
Current Black Panther, I guess...
I mean, Captain America actually has metahuman healing and fatigue/poison/disease resistance, so he's not "unpowered".
Shang Chi doesn't have his own book at this point.
I really enjoyed Andreyko's run on "Manhunter". Definately a woman who kicks ass.
Jean Grey needs to freakin' come back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nightcrawler, Jean Grey, Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker, Professor X, Mar-Vell, Richard Rider- Bring Them Back!!!
