Can't wait to read all of these Before Watchmen books. Minutemen is the one I am most looking forward to due to Darwyn Cooke. I am also looking forward to listening to everyone whine and cry about it happening. If you don't like it just look the other way or keep your nose in the original Watchman. My only problem with this whole thing is how some fans are complaining about it instead of just moving aside for those who are really looking forward to it.

I am just not sold on this. I kinda hope it flops so creators will think twice before making series that are obvious money grabs, in direct opposition to the creators wishes. I know that comic companies have a history of disrespecting creators, but this seems above and beyond.

Yep. I am just a mindless cheerleader. Everything I do is because it is popular. That's why I like Before Watchmen. I believe at this point if I went with whatever was popular I wouldn't be buying any Before Watchmen. I am excited for the project because of the talent involved and the chance to increase my knowledge of the Watchmen history. If I don't like it than I will always have the old Watchmen trade to go through as I laugh at the stack of Before Watchmen books I bought.

My point has always been this; Get over it or get out of the way. This is happening whether you like it or not so don't try to ruin the experience for those who are interested in it by throwing the negativity around. This should be something that people are excited for, not constantly bashing because they were around for the original and the original is always the best thing ever.

The "looking forward to listening to everyone whine and cry" was me being sarcastic. I understand tone is hard to get in text. I also understand that if I don't want to hear or read the negative stuff I could just the other way as well. I have just been wanting to hear some positive stuff about these books on these forums and yet, whenever someone posts something positive they are labeled as a "mindless cheerleader", "terrible comic book fan", or even in some threads simply "idiotic".

I don't say any of those things about people who don't want to read it. I get where those people are coming from. I just chose to be on the other side of that because at the end of the day I don't want to be that guy who sits around and bashes everything I am not a fan of. I would much rather just come to these boards to have some form of constructive conversation. It just never seems to happen in the Before Watchmen threads. I guess I should just stop paying attention to them.

By the way, I also think the variant covers looks pretty amazing. I like Cooke's original more, though.

May pull the Cooke and Conner books. Ut I'm going to trade wait most of them as that's how I first readwatchmen and that's a lot of money trying to buy monthly.
