Another way to look at it:
#1 Non-Marvel/Non-DC book in dollars
#3 Non-Marvel/Non-DC book in books (behind Walking Dead #97 and #98)
Also of note, the next non-Big 2 book is Saga at #57 (31 spots behind XO in dollars), then its all the way to #93 for the 3rd (Secret Srvice #2). So XO has well outperformed the immediate competition thus far.
VALIANT, Saga, Manhattan Projects, Locke & Key, Hawkeye, Young Avengers.
Great news, did Harbringer have the same amount of initial orders as Manowar?
VALIANT, Saga, Manhattan Projects, Locke & Key, Hawkeye, Young Avengers.
I thought Harbinger was one of the best books in recent memory. It was awesome.
Tentative for Bloodshot. I'll probably make my decision on the fly when it comes out.
Pull List: Saga, Danger Club, Invincible, Chew, Animal Man, Aquaman, Supergirl, Earth 2, Dancer, The Flash, TWD, Before Watchmen, Harbinger, and Swamp Thing
I just read through the FCBD issue which whetted my appetite for more Valiant comics. I was wondering if the comics are printed with the same paper stock (thick glossy paper) as the FCBD issue? Can anyone let me know?
Yeah. Some issues with the paper quality I have heard, but it doesn't bother this digital consumer much.
VALIANT, Saga, Manhattan Projects, Locke & Key, Hawkeye, Young Avengers.
So, do we have any kind of verification on orders for X-O #2 and Harbinger #1? I know X-O #1 had a strong 45k according to the interview earlier this month, I'd expect some kind of a drop-off to issue #2 but not that big (maybe 35k?)....
And Harbinger #1 has been getting universal praise as one of the best written books of the past several months so I'd assume some excitement has been building for it with order in or around possible 37k or something like that. Anyone know?
I little birdie told me Harbinger was over 35,000. But that is all I know. The orders for both books were due before XO #1 dropped and was a success, so it is likely they may actually be lower than XO 3 and even Harby 2 turn out to be. I also think Bloodshot has a good chance of hitting 40,000 and a shot at 50,000.
VALIANT, Saga, Manhattan Projects, Locke & Key, Hawkeye, Young Avengers.
X-O Manowar #2 sold out as well of a 23,000 print run... second print coming!! Congrats Valiant!
http://www.bleedingcool.com/2012/06/...-second-print/
They only did a print run of 23k for X-O #2? That's a huge drop-off from the first issue ( almost 50%) and I would have figured that they'd at least print 30-35k for issue #2. At least a second printing is coming and more orders will roll in for it, hopefully at least 8-10k more....
Orders for XO 2 were due through diamond before XO 1 was released, so stores bought heavy on the relaunch issue and then cut orders assuming they wouldnt sell as many...turns out they were wrong. I think next month will be a better indicator of where the book may eventually level out at. Though we may not know for sure until well into the winter when all four titles are out at the same time.
VALIANT, Saga, Manhattan Projects, Locke & Key, Hawkeye, Young Avengers.
