Default Are newspaper comics "forum worthy"?

I'm not counting one's that have appeared in comic books somehow like "the phantom","archie","spider-man" or (more recently as seen in cbr previews) Garfield.I'm thinking more like Tintin and Modesty Blaise.I know there mostly humour based but a few actually have arcs in them. Are they just to inconsequential and/or is it to strange to make a big thing out of them like regular comics or comics?.I mean didn't they influence webcomics (which are more diverse) in a way?.

Sure they're forum worthy. And Tintin is also available in collected format.

I would talk about Calvin & Hobbes in a forum if it was still coming out.

Just picked up two Tin Tin colleced Graphic Novels. Only briefly looked through them, but I imagine they are a collection of an arc that appeared first in the newspaper format as the books themselves are self contained stories for that particular Arc and titled as such. Only 8.99 and I am pretty impressed by them. There are a few more on offer in the back, but these just showed up at the bookstore.

I always liked Nemi. Cute goth chick, though Cyan's cooler.

"alex" in the telegraph here in england is always a really witty satire on the banking industry.

Absolutley, without the newspaper comic strips I don't know if I would have got into comic books. I Love Mutts, reminds me off my dog and cat. Pickles are my parents in a comic strip(lol).
    Good reading,
