Nope. I'm a huge fan of both, but I love suicide squad. Some people can't tell the difference between two comics. Does this guy even know the difference between a power girl comic and a batman comic? Doesn't seem like it.

Depends, if you were a fan of Harley, Waller, or/and Deadshot before the reboot I wouldn't really suggest it. It you don't mind a competently written action/black ops book you might want to pick it up. I'm personally not a fan of it at all, but I cna't really say its horrible either. I just don't like the the changes to characters I've liked in the past, and I've read better action/black ops type books.

honestly most complains that i have seen about this series limit to only that

It's about how the plot depend completely on the characters being completely imbecilic. So much of what takes place in the series completely falls apart if examined in any way.
It's not even good if you're just looking for an action series. It often fails to deliver even on that front, and there's no reason a high-octane action story can't be well told.
the action is debatable, i mean there are some good parts but it depends of personal taste

but the "stupid plot" argument is just not true, i would like more examples of this

also Im not saying that this series is Awesome cause is not, but i would easily give it a 7 out of 10 with very good room for improvement

Personally i Hated Glass's Legion of Doom mini, it was awful and the main reason why it fail is cause every single character was this unlikable jerk who you just didnt care 2 bits about and the plot just didnt make any sense

on SS, the plot is quite simple, so no complains, and the characters are actually pretty likable, there is are really strong characterization coming from them which keeps me invested to see if they will survive or not

Adam Glass is, without a doubt, DC's worst storyteller.
Im sorry but that position belongs to Eric Wallace
though now that he is not writing anything on DC i think J.T. Krull is the one now

Didn't like the first few issues but it's gotten so much better. Now it's one of my favorite books.

I"ll tell you what I do know: The character redesigns are horrible, and the storylines have been far from amazing. Waller is skinny and smokes now? Completely unnecessary. The little things that made us give a crap about the characters during previous runs? Gone. This comic to me is what Phantom Menace was to Star Wars fans. Honestly, I'll be happy when it's canceled.

Highly recommend. I like all kinds of comics, mostly serious stuff, but this is just good ol' fashioned shoot em up fun. Love it. Start from issue one.

Secret Six is a good one to get some back issues of. Some good stuff, but I'm hoping Catman ends up on the new squad in the 52 someday...soon?

I don't know about from #1. Is there any other more recent jumping on point or if there one coming up in the future?

I know, I read some of the old Simone run on Secret Six, some not all, but I really liked what I did read. And I really hope the same thing about Catman. He was one of my favorite members of the team, which is huge considering that the character started off as a rip off of Batman. Although, I kind of hope that they redesign his costume to further stress that he is not Batman.

The series is good. Not brilliant as Secret Six or the few issues of the first run of the Suicide Squad (I only had time to read a few numbers of that run). I recommend you to read the series. But if I were you I would wait for a compilation book.

Number 1 is a good one and done. Plus you'll want to read two for some nano-zombie action!
