Default Thoughts on Brightest Earth #1

What are people thinking of Highest Earth #1? Overall I liked it, although if it had a conventional price tag of 4 dollars maybe not so much. The pacing was pretty good, and I got a good feeling for each character as well. I kept thinking of Infinity Earths over in DC though. I reviewed it with some pictures at the link in my signature.

Also did anyone get the impression this is some sort of response to Saga?

Higher Earth #1 was alright. It moved at a fast pace and made for some quick reading. I like how the didn't dwell too much on the garbage planet. It was a good setup and leaves enough questions that leave me wanting more. Who is this man? Why was that guy chasing him? Why does the guy want the girl? WTF was the point of the mechanical bear?!

Yep. Title is off. Can I edit a title of a thread?

Yeah a lot of questions. I'm glad it was a dollar. It read almost like a 5 page preview.
