He said that because he thought she had no intrest in him.

I never bought for a second that he only hit on her because of Warren.

Good setup up issue. Curious how the band is going to get back together. Psylocke has to come back she is the heart of the team. The book is really all about her anyways.

Was that Sabertooth at the school in the trees? Seemed a bit small for him plus I can't recall him using a gun before.

    Liking the new Deadpol look.

This story arc is nine issues long. There's gonna be several different artists. As UXF goes, the quality will fluctate depending on who's illustrating it. This issue is McKone, his flat, static artwork leaving the fight scenes flaccid, the character interactions lazy and uninvolving, and the overall story not that interesting.

Phil Noto is the next two issues. We should be in good hands.
no dude Mark brooks work on the book was fantastic, his AOA jean grey was incredible, and billy tans art with out whites colors was not that freaking bad man

A good set up issue. Not as great as previous issue.

I love that Betsy 'misdirected' Fantomex with their sex. She only use him to feel whatever sorrow/regret she has left (clearly NONE). But Fantomex on the other hand... really has been crushing on her since issue #1 (though saying otherwise on ocassions).
On the other hand.. Psylocke focusing on her rage.. perhaps we'll see her becoming more bloodthirsty in this arc.

The Omega Clan and the Skyshop has been introduced, guess we'll learn more on the new Brotherhood on the next several issues.
I wonder how Genesis/Angel will play out in this arc. Interesting stuff...

This comic started with a bang, I really hope it doesn't go out on a whimper. The only X comics left on my pull list are Astonishing (interesting cast) and X Factor (great fun). Still, there's always the trade paperbacks.................

I had to check, I thought I remembered something. Creed pulled out a sniper rifle vs. the Native and Logan, back in Wolverine (vol. 3) #15.

It is a bit outside his usual modus operandi, though, to be sure. Like if Gambit suddenly started fighting with a croquet mallet.

I liked the main story as well as the art (it is FAR better than Tocchini). I think Wolverine's deterioration of attitude is pretty interesting, and goes along with what's going on in his other titles.
UXF has been heavily focused on Betsy and Fantomex for awhile now. (Betsy's character progression is pretty logical.) However there's not been too much opportunity to do character development on the rest of the team. If this arc is beginning to shift that dynamic a bit, I'm all for it. I'd hate to see the book go the way Uncanny X-Men did for a time -- aka the Scott and Emma show.
I was glad to see the comment about AoA Crawler staying on longer. Remender hasn't done much with him yet, and the character has plenty of untapped potential.

Of the secondary stories, the one with Logan wasn't bad, and tied in with the main story somewhat. The Deadpool one sucked.

Something popped into my mind after reading Deadpool and Uncanny X-Force. Why is Deadpool on the team anymore? He is just a mercenary, granted he was always a mercenary but before he was immortal. That was what set him apart from others, now he's just a regular guy. Fantomex could be considered a mercenary and a more effective one at that. Fantomex has misdirection and E.V.A, he's more useful than Deadpool. Yes he did leave the team this issue but I doubt he actually "quit". X-Force consist of members with super powers or abilities and Deadpool has neither anymore. He's just a regular guy with guns, and he seems out of place in the team now.

Nothing destroys my excitement about a book more than coming on the x-books forum and reading it's review. Grief, I don't know why I do it. I think, hey, the art wasn't the best this week but what's going on with the Jean Grey School subplot? And what's up with Betsy? And how funny is Deadpool? Oh, no-one wants to talk about them, we just want to moan about how this issue didn't give us the same kick that the last few panels of the Dark Angel Saga did.

The ranks of X-Force seem to be dwindling. Rick Remender has always done a good job mixing drama into the overly violent premise of X-Force and this was yet another issue that demonstrated that. Psylocke was always the one least inclined to want to be a killer from the very beginning. Now after everything that's happened to her, it seems to have really gotten to her. And if it looks like Genesis and Angel are going to be a target, she's not going to be able to stay retired from the kills squad business for very long. The issue was mostly a setup issue, but in a good way. I enjoyed it. Think this series continues to maintain a high quality even as the events of AvX are unfolding around it.

I'm with you on this. I thought this was an excellent start to the new arc. As a set-up issue, it can't have the same kick as #24's done-in-one story but the character work was great (I often find myself laughing out loud at Remender's Deadpool dialogue), I liked the shake-up on the team's line-up, and the notion of assassins that are specifically grown for their assignments. I'm surprised that this was a lukewarm issue for some but I loved it.
