Default Any chance Tim Burton will continue the Batman movies?

Since The Dark Knight rises is Nolan's last one, I wish Tim Burton will do more Batman movies IGNORING the Joel Shumacher Bat movies. I don't count the Shumacher movies as canon to the 1989 film and Batman Returns. I hope/wish Tim will make more that takes place after Batman Returns. Anyone else agree?

edit - don't get me wrong, I still enjoy the Joel films, but I wish Tim continued the series. I would love to see HIS version of Two-face and Riddler.

It's not gonna happen. It's not in any likelyhood anyway.

I should hope not, because all it would be is a confusing, muddled mess starring Johnny Depp in weird makeup and acting like every character he's playing in the past ten years, and Burton would make it quirky and grim for the sake of being quirky and grim. Just the thought is making me want to dip my brain in a bucket of bleach.

Spoiler alert: As much as I like Batman '89 and Returns, I loathe the Tim Burton of today and want him to go away forever.

Nope, nein, nyet, no way, nuh-uh. He doesn't want to. And if ever changes his mind, show him a pair of freshly cast concrete galoshes. That should dissuade him.

Burton's Two-Face would be Depp as Sweeney Todd with latex on half his face. Burton's Riddler would be Depp as Willy Wonka in a question-marked leisure suit.

You really like the Schumacher films?

After the backlash Batman Returns got, I don't think WB want him near the Batman franchise ever again.

No, I think that's a bad idea. His Batman had great success due to its atmosphere but I think we're all well aware Batman is a dark world now. That's what his film was great about bringing to moviegoers. Now that's done, Nolan's brought in the realism so they should bring all of these aspects together under someone new with a new vision.

Just not Seth Rogen . . . he already destroyed Green Hornet.

I would still watch them every now and then. I do find Joel's character cartoonish and over the top, but still enjoyable. Not too thrill about the "bat nibbles" though lol.

I, for one, would welcome our Johnny Depp-as-Batman overlords.

I doubt it and I don't really care for the idea. I think he already had his chance. Also I really think Tim Burton peaked with Ed Wood. He seems to have settled into the quirky dark film genre, the last blockbuster type of movie he tried Planet of the Apes was horrible.
Life looks better in black and white.
