Kill him off; nobody else can write him properly
Let him live; he’s a great addition to the Batman family
Let him switch to being Nightwing’s sidekick
Change his code name to something more appropriate
Have him replace (or kill off) Jason Todd and take over the Outlaws
Give him a sex change and have him be the new Batgirl
Have his brain / thought patterns transplanted into Titus (his dog)
Have him and Bruce change bodies, so he takes control of Wayne Industries
Have him dispatched into the past, possibly eventually returning to the present
* Let him just disappear until Morrison eventually comes back to the Bat-books
I don’t care
Other (please explain)
I like Damian and hope he continues in the role for years. I do know where you are coming from however and do feel that he does not fit the traditional role of Robin. Morrison alongside fellow writers played this well with Dick and Damian having a foil relationship with each other that inverted the traditional roles attributed to the Dynamic Duo. The return of Bruce Wayne has left Damian in a delicate position where he is still intriguing but not in nearly as interesting a foil to Bruce. The two just don't click in my mind nearly as well as the previous paring. I personally would have preferred if Tim Drake and Bruce Wayne had remained partners with Dick continuing to mentor Damian.
I understand the choice to have not followed this direction but am still waiting for a payoff between the characters which I suspect to get in Leviathan but I guess we will have to wait and see.
Part of my problem with Jason (besides coming back from the dead and going looney tunes) is . . . which one?
You seem to be showing the post-CoIE Jason, but the pre-CoIE Jason was a slightly different character . . . more a direct clone of Dick. (Including the circus background and parents killed by bad guys. In pre-CoIE Jason's case, Killer Croc was involved.) And I hated the pre-CoIE Jason's "Are you my Mommy?" phase with Nocturna. (Was that Moench who gave us that?)
To answer the thread's question...I would say no...because in my opinion he sort of the true opposite of Robin, I mean not even Jason was that bad.![]()
Yes, at least until they ontroduce a new Robin and Damina gets a new identity and leads the Teen Titans or gets killed off.
I'm liking him as Robin now.
When I first 'met' Damian, I thought he was going to end up like Jason and I was supposed to dislike him but I've really have grown to like the little guy. True, he's not exactly what I'd call a happy little boy but I think he's a fine Robin. Its not the brightness of Robin that is needed its the desire to grow. With the different personalities that have taken that name, I think Damian does the role justice with a distinct personality. A little darker in humor than others but he's actually had a darker upbringing. It seems all Robins want to be like Batman in some fashion and Damian is no different. And I'm sure when he outgrows the role, he will be take a role that reflects his own journey with his father. We know Damian has more growing to do but I think so does Jason. Its odd because when I was growing up reading about Batman, Robin just seemed a useless character whose time was well up but I find all the Robins are some of my favorite characters in the world of Batman.
Not to mention that Steph makes very good waffles and Alfred makes terrible ones. Which i think is my favourite subtle running gag. In Batgirl 17 Damian disses Alfred's waffles without even eating them but earlier in the series had eaten Steph's without complaint. Latest RHatO issue has Tim and Jason both hating on Alfred's waffles. Are there any other waffles mentioned in the Batfamily of books? There must be.
I hope Damian gets his own Robin-centric type title, or even his own team. His interactions with Stephanie are mint and people really don't put enough focus on the help she had on his character in her book. It's often ignored how she was the only one outside of the recent issue where they played with Titus that treated him like a kid.
I reiterate the Dustin Nguyen Gotham Boys and Girls Club concept could be a very successful book with Damian, Cass and Steph as a core trio, a bit retooling (Steph as Spoiler obviously) after Damian's arc with INC and B&R get somewhere/end (and hopefully he survives).

I can't stand Damian. I want Tim back fighting alongside Bruce.
Nightcrawler, Jean Grey, Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker, Professor X, Mar-Vell, Richard Rider- Bring Them Back!!!
Yeah, except i like stand alone tim (most the time, it's great when dick and tim work together) i just don't feel like damian is really a bat. I'd like him more if he had a more pre-re-boot jason feel. Also it really bugs me when i see people say that bruce has a duty to damian. Thanks to the powers of retcon bruce was raped by talia ( red robin #25 opens with a in universe veiw on that) it's not like he was looking for some fun and forgot the protection. To say it's his "duty" to look after the kid is really messed up. This is what boarding schools are for.
And thanks to the power of retcon that situation was re-retconned back to its original state of it being consensual and Morrison apologized for that mistake ages ago I believe. I mean they even say that it was in the first or second issue of the new52 Batman and Robin saying that he let his "heart over rule his head."
At any rate, he is Damian's father and Bruce does feel a certain amount of duty to him because of that ffact. Moreover, I don't see Bruce standing aside and letting his flesh and blood be turned into a weapon or a body replacement for Ra's or whatever other plans people have had for the child. Plus, Damian has a bounty on his head currently, and wouldn't be safe in a boarding school. Actually, the prospect of Damian in school could be amazing yet a horrible decision for other reasons.
But ugh, I hated the "Talia raped Bruce" retcon so much and am so glad it was fixed back.

I'm a big Damian fan. He should definitely stay.
