Default how are the season one books?

Want to get back into marvel and they look decent enough. I really liked the DC earth one but they are moving too slow with there stuff.

    So how are they
    Dc: Action Comics/Animal Man/Swamp Thing/Earth-2/Green Arrow/Batman/Threshold/Batwoman/Justice League/Green Lantern/Teen Titans/Superman/Justice League Dark/I,Vampire.

So far I haven't liked them all that much. They're decent origin stories, but it's not that hard to write a good origin story about the characters that they're writing about. Most of the season one books are written about characters that have already had really cool graphic novels written recently about their early years. Daredevil especially.

Haven't bought any myself but from second hand opinions: good if you're coming into things completely blank about the characters but bland if you already know their origins/backstory.

I like the Fantastic Four one. Thought it was a good introduction and Namor was a fun bad guy.

I was a fan of the Fantastic Four season one book. It was updated with some nice pop culture references and actually has Invisible Woman get the most focus. A nice story. The art is amazing too. Spidey I wasn't a big fan of.

Greg Pak's got the Doctor Strange issue. I'm cautiously optimistic. Pak seems to respect Strange

As well as their origins having been retold is various other mini-series, the original comics are still around as well. Tales of Suspense #39 is still my go-to place for an Iron Man origin story.

The Fantastic Four one was entertaining...so was the X-men one, though the latter visually and tonally seems a re-tread of the recent 'First Class' series.

On the whole they're a pretty fun read if you just want to re-explore the simplicity of the early 60's Marvel...but they're not particularly remarkable otherwise.

Actually, I hope they come out with an 'Iron Man Season One' since that's a character who could benefit from some Year One-style retelling. True, the 'Extremis' storyline gave us bits and pieces of the modern origin, but we still don't know how Tony's original Cold War era adventures panned out in a post-Cold War world. The circumstances of his first encounters with the likes of Black Widow and Crimson Dynamo in particular would need some tweaking to fit the post-Cold War setting.

The Spider-Man one was horrible. It was just basically a reprint of Amazing Fantasy #15 & Amazing Spider-Man #2. No creativity or originality at all. What a terrible waste of money.
