Wolverine and the X Men issue 10 review: Medium weight spoilers

I'm not 100% sure where this issue fits in regarding to continuity since I haven't been picking up every AvsX book. Anyway

Of the Blue team - Cyclops, Emma and Magik come to the JGG school. Cyclops is just wanting to talk.

As a result of this a lot of this issue is Scotty and Logan talking. Your milage may vary as to whether this is the sort of thing you want to read about in a comic. To break it up slightly, Kid Krakatoa does partially digest Scott. But Scott escapes (boo) and then the talking commences.

Other main plot threads are the continual development of Angel and Evan and a discussion between Rachel and Iceman. This leads into a bit where some of the teaches choose to go assist Cyclops rather than Wolverine - but just as a temporary measure - they'll apparently be back to the Gold side when AvsX is over. This was the bit that confuses the continuity for me. But I didn't really mind because I don't really rate continuity much anyways.

Cameo wise - Anole gets a line. A student has a hair slide (Trance?) CHAMBER gets several lines. Quire hits on Magik. Husk is also present.

GAMBIT SLAMS THE AVENGERS AS ANTI SOUTHERN RACISTS. Good job Gambit.

Best cameo - the last page. My fave Bachelo baddies return.

There were a few nice interactions, especially White Devil & Iceman, but waaaaay too much Cyclops and Wolverine word-smithing.

Gambit is spot on. The Avengers are clearly anti-Southern bigots.

No wonder he specifically goes after Captain America.

Liked it except for a few editor issues (wolverine pretty much not bringing up the I need to kill hope thing). LOVED that Rachel was at least mentioned with the PF.

I liked that they addressed Rachel's history with the force though. Also, lol at Gambit's reason for joining.

Kid Omega hitting on Magik made me cringe. I wish Aaron would stop trying to make him happen. He's such a douchebro character.

Enjoyed the part of the issue where Logan thinks Rachel and Bobby is about to join him over at the avengers side... Only to get a temporary team Cyclops response. :D

I thought all of Bobby's reasoning for doing the things he did in this issue was spot on from what I thought it would be, and I'm very happy about that.

And what about what Angel saw when he looked at Evan? I took that to mean Warren is still in there.

I think the major problems with Wolverine & The X-Men are Wolverine and the students.

You can barely tell that the students are there half the time! It's all Wolverine/Kitty/Iceman/Beast/a smidgen of Rachel, with the kids rarely getting any screen time.

Little bit tired of 'NuAngel.' You think some telepath would try to rebuild his mind or something.

I want Rachel to utterly destroy them. It is her battle more than anyone else's and I will be pissed if it is just them v. Wolverine.

Rachel, Emma and Kitty interacting should've intercut with all the Logan/Scott blah blah blah a-thon. We get it, guys, you had a nasty break up. We would like to focus on the others now.

Gambit's line was great and I loved Chamber. I wish Emma had commented on Husk's new costume/skin issues. -_- Magik and Bobby was fun, but I would've rather seen some Kitty and Magik.

Wonder when the Death Comandos come in continuity wise given Legacy.
