Honestly? If Rachel thinks that Hope can do it... so do I. That might sound bias, but really people. This is the same force that Rachel hosted for years. And honestly, even Jean was able to control it the last time that she had it and they literally MAKE MENTION of that in WATXM. Honestly, it seems like the entirely X-Office - and Remender in Secret Avengers - are making the Avengers out to sound like hypocritical assholes in the first place. They've got many people that recognize that the Phoenix Force may not, in the long run, be a threat yet they won't listen all because of something that a glorified stalker of the original host told them.

It is a cosmic entity. I think it is naive to think that JG, Rachel or anyone else was controlling the Phoenix. More likely is that the Phoenix just did what the fuck it wanted and it just so happened that when Rachel was its host, it did not feel like fucking shit up.

Technically, I believe Joanna attacked Moonknight for Trepassing first. It's debatable whether that was reasonable force for Moon Knights trepassing as just because someone trepasses does mean you are now free to do whatever you want with them. Although Moon Knight getting baited by Frenzy of all people was embarassing.

You are probably not fit for the job if you are the guy who even considers sending Moon Knight to keep the peace.

I don't think any of the presumed leaders have acquitted themselves well in all of this. Unless Cap's plan was to start a fight then he is simply continuing the storyline of everyone behaving like an idiot.

That may be true in London, but significantly less so here in the US.

I lived in the U.S. for 12 years, only been in London the past 2 years for work. And there have been several cases in the U.S. where homeowners have been charged for using excessive force when someone was breaking and entering much less simple trepass. You are allowed to use reasonable force.

Clearly you weren't living in the same parts of the US that I do. Sure, there've been cases where homeowners are charged with use excessive force against trespassers, but that is most def. the exception, not the rule.

Rachel thinks she did. Let's not confuse the Phoenix simply being content to lend Rachel it's power with Rachel actually controlling it. Control implies if the Phoenix wanted to destroy a planet for example, Rachel was capable of stopping it. I am not sure I recall a situation like that although I confess I have not read all her stories.
