Batgirl: I really liked this issue. It's the first time, I think, in this whole Court of Owls thing, that we get a Talon as more than just an assassin, and actually get a feel for their motivations for becoming a Talon. I know we've gotten some Talons' backstories already, but this was the first that I actually cared about. I've said it before, Batgirl has more "heart" than any other book in the New 52. 8.5/10
Batman: I won't say that this issue was a disappointment because it was a good issue, however, it was the weakest so far of a fantastic series. I feel like nothing of import happened, even though the series is in the middle of a major event. Since I'm not reading 'Tec, I was also a bit annoyed to the reference to the events in the book. I don't want to go read it, and I hope I don't have to. What I really loved though, was the backup feature. I absolutely ADORE Albuquerque's art, and was extremely excited to see a focus on the Pennyworths. All in all, the backup was what really did it for me. Main story: 7/10 Backup 9/10 Overall: 8/10
Batman and Robin: I like the focus on Robin alone this issue, which I know it's due to Bruce being tied up elsewhere, but it was still nice to see him on his own. The was he defeated the Talon was absolutely brilliant. Not a lot of substance here, but very enjoyable nonetheless. 7/10
Green Lantern: I'm not a big fan right now of this whole Ganthet being pure evil now. It just seems to have come out of nowhere, and takes away an antagonist to the Guardians which I think worked great before the reboot. The Guardians are going from a conflicted group, to a Cabal of Evil, which imo is far less interesting. Other than that, there was a lot of plot to keep me interested (as usual with Johns). not the best book, but definitely a fun read. 7/10
So ... Batgirl wins out this week. I thought the backup to Batman was better, but I'm looking at the whole book overall.
