Avengers 2 (News & Speculation)

I think they should combine characters. The Scarlet Witch combined with Pym and Jan and played by Vanessa Williams is a winning combination.

i dont want any new avengers i want more of the 6 we saw plus shield. when i left that movie i wanted more more everybody. adding more cast members would cut into everyone elses time. i want to see them now as a full fledge team and how they interact. joss said he wanted to do a smaller more personal movie im ok with that.

Well it depends on how. I don't think they should sacrifice development on the original characters (particularly those who don't have their own movies). I think the movie should be more focused on Hawkeye and Black Widow. So Mockingbird could be an interesting character to bring in. I know one of the producers says he was interested in more females. Whedon said he wanted something more low key, which is why Thanos was surprising. My ideal choice would be Ms. Marvel. Hank Pym would be a good new supporting scientist character like Agent Collson, or even Mockingbird as a new agent. I really hope Ultron is bad guy in the second film and Thanos the third. Another alien movie seems a bit repetitive.

This just in: Avengers 2 set for release in 2015 and, perhaps more significantly, Joss Whedon will not only write and direct, but is exclusive to Marvel through 2015.

This would suggest that not only is Whedon the creative overlord of Marvel Moving Pictures, but that he'll be the connective tissue on the various franchises. Won't be surprised if EVERY flick is in some ways seeded with the run up to Part Deux and in fact an Avengers sequel.

I read that it won't be called simply Avengers 2, but have some as-yet-unmentioned subtitle to it.

I would like them to introduce the Black Panther but i hope to god they don't bring in Wasp. I just don't like the character but that's a personal preference.

I guess the reason for subtitles is so that they won't look dated. But still drives me nuts how only Iron Man is using the numbers system.

I think Black Panther needs his own movie before he joins. Wakanda is not something you can handle as a subplot.

Yeah possibly get Avengers 2 out the way then have a Black Panther the next movie out and a few cameos in other movies before Avengers 3.

i think they should namedrop the Wakandan Embassy in one of these movies. much of the audience won't even catch on that it's a made-up place.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that Avengers: Civil War or whatever it's called will follow the lead of all the other Phase 2 movies announced thus far and drop the numbering system, which has proved to be a liability. (Spidey 3 and 4, Batman 8, etccccc

I kinda think that DOUBLING the number (2 Avengers 2 Assemble 2 Make 2 Mo' Movies) seems to be counter-intuitive.
