Charles was a pacifist that's why he never hurt Eric.

Are you guys sure this is the real Magneto? I thought he died. Sorry for asking this, i just haven't read the new X-men. But i don't know why the writers would bring back Charles and Eric. I know there have been a few times in the ultimate universe that people have come back from death, but they shouldn't make it common.

Maybe someone is manipulating people into seeing dead people, but these dead people aren't really the dead coming back to life.

I'm not sure there is a single person who's read it that thinks that they are the real deal

Yea that never made any sense to me. In the UU, Professor X had Telekinesis which he has shown to be strong enough to lift Magneto into the atmosphere, and even lift a sentinel yet he couldn't stop Magneto from snapping his neck? And for that matter, why has no one ever thought to use telekinesis to pull the helmet off and then blast him with telepathy? The helmet protects him from telepathy, not telekinesis.

He could have done that in 616 as well :| For the rest see Sage's answer.

Even so, immobilizing or defending yourself doesn't have to hurt him. All he needed to do was hold him still or knock him unconscious and the whole problem would be solved.

Correct! Well done. You win... nothing.

Yeah I just re-read the scene and there was no mention, not even a hint that Xavier wanted to die. Ultimatum had character development? Hah! Good one, guys. You really had me fooled.

No, he did read it. He just copied it. All he really did for Ultimatum was take the plot of Return of the King, dumb it down, and change it so Magneto succeeded.
I like Ultimate Comics. - Read them with us!

I also buy: Captain America, Avengers, FF, New Avengers, X-Factor, among others

I don't see how you think he copied that story. I didn't remember any tidal waves in Return of the King. That whole switching the magnetic poles ting is something Mags had said he would do. Millar had pitched Ultimatum years before Loeb came on board. But by the time the Marvel creators wanted to do it, Loeb had become the new writer in Millar's place. Loeb never ripped off anything. He just wrote a bad story.

Loeb wrote a lot of bad scenes and a lot of bad stories because he didn't do the required research. Just look at the difference between Ultimates 2 and 3. The direction of Loeb's character choices are a good indication to Loeb making so many mistakes.

That whole scene in Ultimatum between Magneto and Xavier made no sense to me.

Bad example there mate. The Ultimates 3 fits perfectly into canon and builds off of Millar's stories.

You and Plawsky can believe what you like. IMO Ultimates 3 was a drastic unnecessary change to the direction of The Ultimates 2

As to the original question in this thread, I think Mags' final lines in "Magnetic North" was BKV setting the stage for the supposed Ultimate X-Men run by Bryan Singer & the X-Men movie writers that never happened. And then Ultimatum happened.
