Isn't Odin much stronger than Thor?

How come Odin never comes down to earth to help out? Isn't he much stronger and more powerful than Thor? Odin can get rid of Thor's power at a whim.

in the old days, they used to list Odin as class 70 to Thor's 100. BUT, I believe they stated Odin could amp himself to incalculable levels. Which I think he has shown, especially when matching size with Surtur.

As to power, there is NO comparison between father and son.

And Odin is too busy on the grand scale to settle with handling Earth-based affairs.

Now, if the Phoenix Force starts to threaten Asgard....

I haven't read the stories but saw the previeuw pages, and Odin was on an even level with Galactus.
