Y'know what should be published during/after AvX?

A series where minor heroes are working extra hard to stop the villains while most of the major heroes are fighting each other over Hope and Phoenix Force.

Not only would it be cool, it would give some lesser known heroes a chance to shine against major foes. It could have a different hero every issue.

Just a thought.

I cannot see Doom waiting until this conflict is over to further his plans.

And mooks like the Rhino or the Wrecking Crew would be robbing banks left, right, and center!

I could be wrong, but the time frame for AvX seems to be quite short. Big planet destroying firebird seems to be moving VERY quickly.

And you GOTTA know some of the bigger baddies are watching all the time to see when the heroes are not paying attention.

I'd even have one issue showing an elite team of police officers in NYC trying to stop the villains. It would show how necessary the heroes can be, while showing how brave the police can be.

While the Avengers may not, some of their members do it.

And if it was the Wrecking Crew, you just KNOW some of the Avengers would show up to stop them.

Doom is probably working on his own anti-Phoenix agenda. I mean, fate of the world and all.

Actually, it'd be pretty cool to see them save the world for once.

At first, no. Whirwind did get away. But they tracked him down and caught him, eventually.

I know it's pure dreaming, but it would be an awsome oportunity to bring back the New Warriors. You know, full circle for Civil War.
