Default Wolverine: The Best There Is

Hello, new to the forum. Saturday i went to my local comic shop for FCBD when i seen this comic. Wolverine has always been my fav comic book hero and i have enjoyed his other comics. But i was not able to get into this series for some reason. Does it get better or should i not even waste my time and money on it?

Welcome aboard! Hope you have fun!

Prepare to be deluged with people decrying all sorts of reasons why Wolverine sucks.

That said, if you like him, stick to it.

What version of Wolverine is your favorite?

Ive always enjoyed Wolverine in the Xmen comics. Ive recently read the Alpha and Omege series, which i enjoyed. I am trying to get ahold of the Wolverin origin series but have no luck so far.

I am open to any other suggestions of his comics.

Wolverines Weapon X series was a short lived series by Jason Aaron, it was a amazing serious and it leads right into the forst issue of current wolverine series that Aaron just got off of, or you could try picking te current series up because it just change writers at 305. Also the Weapon X mini is a good Series learn how wolvie became wolvie. Or Frank miller Chris Claremonts Wolveine series, there's a few series for you. Or a stand alone take would be Astonishing Spiderman and Wolverine, it's a 6 issue mini by Aaron, I know I keep saying Aaron series but he's baasically the best wolverine writer that's been around in awhile.

Hey. There are plenty other Wolverine fans here.
I recommend Aaron's Wolverine work. Enemy of The State is a lot of fun too. The bulk of John Byrne, and Chris Claremont, and Marc Silvestri's Wolverine solo work can be found for relatively cheap tpb form on Amazon.
Logan also played a pivotal role in most of the Morrison X-Men books; as he did in most of the Astonishing story arcs.

I like Wolverine stories by Larry Hama and Barry Windsor Smith. Thanks for your time.

Wasn't the OP specifically asking about the "Wolverine: The Best There Is" maxi-series?

I'm not sure how many issues you read already, but it was a great series. I'd say pick up all 12, but if you're already read several and don't like, then don't bother.

Hey, I'm one of those people that usually don't like Wolverine, but I LOVED Wolverine: The Best There Is. The weird characters and the use of "un-killables"... great! I say pick it up, an unexpected treat!

It's good if you enjoy seeing Wolverine tortured. If not, then don't read on.

Shop was giving out all of the many unsold issues of the series they had on Free Comic Book day. Picked a few up... not very good if you ask me.

i liked it. a bit wordy here and there, but lots of blood and violence and good villains who all have the potential to be the next sabretooth.

Cyclops painting Emma's toes and Dazzler/Logan sex.
VIVA KUSASAN!!! Morrison On Magneto: I made him into a stupid old drug-addicted idiot. CC had done a lot of good work over the years to redeem the character. And I went in and sh*t on all of it.

Welcome to the forum. This place is filled with people who act like Wolverine kidnapped their families, so good luck. I enjoy him as well. Check em out for sure btw.
