Yup. Before AvX even hit stores, Marvel was climbing back up. Somebody else said that DC's too front-loaded and I'm somewhat inclined to agree. A lot of their fringe and C-List properties are falling right back down to cancellation territory. So not only did they just cancel six books, but they have AT LEAST six more books that are hitting that same cancellation margin. And then they go and give Leifeld three books to work on after his one book got cancelled. WTH! I understand his a well-known entity but generally it's for the wrong reasons. His name didn't save Hawk & Dove, why would they expect it to save Deathstroke or Hawkman?

Earth 2 will do well enough and should settle between 70-50K once it does, in my opinion. Batman Inc. should end up sitting higher than B&R and TDK, but I don't expect it to settle at Batman levels. Before Watchmen should also do great, especially with the creative muscle at its disposal, which is really the kind of talent DC should have been using in the initial or at least second wave. So DC will be fine, but Marvel will still be giving them some competition.

I'm in favor! Yay! Hurrah for me! ...

But real quick, just for fun.

Right, because on issue #13 of all DC titles, sales should really spike! Yeah, that always happens. Good idea bro!

I find the opposite to be true. It's hard for me to read more than a couple of Marvel titles in one sitting. The New 52 is totally great and I love almost all of them (wasn't sad to see Blackhawks or Static shock go). It's what got me back into new comics.

How long till the TPB of The Infinity Gauntlet zips up the TPB sales chart? I just ordered mine from Amazon today (and there's an annoying 1-3 week wait for shipment). I'll be ordering a few more to give out as Christmas presents with the Avengers DVD, as well.

I doubt DC cares. They are selling a lot more comics than they did last year. Marvel is selling a lot more. Each company spurns the other to act and move really...

I'm pretty sure the success of Swamp Thing has spurred Marvel to release that unreleased Man-Thing.

All of the books I read have made it into the Top 100. Thanks to everyone who have helped to support these very same books.

And it's a lot more profitable to sell 100,000 units of one comic than 50,000 units each of two comics.

Ohhh yeah. I'm sure people are realizing Marvel is double shipping quite a lot now. They do X-Men and ASM . One of the reasons I don't get much ASM is the glut of that coming out and the price cost at $3.99 .

Well sad isn't the word I'll use for Static's demise. Ticked would be a better word because Dc won't stop putting in him (and others) in the hands of bad writers. The New 52 ENDED my buying of DC comics.

Avengers Assemble went from 100k to 53k. Is 47% a normal drop from issue 1 to 2?

Is 6,000+ copies a good amount for a Dynamite book?

No, a normal drop is 20-30% with a further drop of 10% or so of initial sales with #3.

47% between issues 1 and 2 is pretty bad.
