And i highly doubt that Thor would even get past GL's shield. The destructive power of the Sun >>> Mjolnir

Given what Parallax was capable of doing (and given that a construct stopped it in its tracks), I'd say it could tank it without fatal damage, yes.

Why not? He's seen it done. It's well within his power though by the end of the film, his imagination and will are strong.

It was Kilowog who created a mini star construct. Hal couldn't, if he could why would he lure Parallax to the sun in the first place?

What could Hal do to harm Thor is what i'm thinking.

I thought that was the acutal sun that Jordan punched Parallax into ? If it was GLs sun then it should not have sucked Jordan in. He can disable it after parallax is done.

If he doesn't do it himself, it's not a valid feat.

I've seen people do all sorts of things I'm theoretically capable of doing, but it doesn't mean I can do those things. Until I show I can.

Why not? Because he never did anything of the sort. Nothing nearly as complex or powerful as that.

All he did at the end was use very basic constructs to hold himself in place/counter the gravity of the sun from a distance while Parallax (whom he had lured to the sun) was sucked towards it.

Even though i thought that movie was garbage, i liked the part where he used the fighter jet constructs to counter the suns gravity.

I don't remember the GL movie that well (I saw it on a phone with bad headphones, and half of the movie was in Spanish before I figured out how to change the language to English).

I think Hal can probably evade Thor and deflect some damage, but I really can't remember anything impressive against Parallax. I got the impression that GL energy when used properly hurts Parallax more. Parallax's "death" was really lame. This powerful being that can do all sorts of things, but doesn't have the power to escape the sun's gravity? It's not a black hole, it's the sun.

I say Thor will win after some time because it seems like Thor can do damage to GL, but GL can't do the same back to Thor.

Parallax overall was just a terrible villain. We keep getting told all this crap about it destroying entire civilisations, the Guardians are scare of it, then it gets to Earth and does... nothing. And is hurt but missiles.

Comic GL couldn't do it. It takes light 8 minutes to go from the Sun to Earth. GL is not that much faster than light, amped or not.

The film not only had terrible editing in that sequence, but it's gotta be PIS because no previous incarnation of GL has ever been able to go that fast.

It didn't mention that the "destroyed civilizations" were all neanderthal level.

I don't see Hal, with his movie feats, ever scratching Thor. Hell, Thor will block any of his shots that he wants, since none of them are remotely "fast". He's got fast travel speed, but I question his acceleration and obviously, without the reaction speed to aim such a charge, he isn't going to hit Thor by charging him all spiked-up. Or, he wouldn't want to, as Thor deflects him just like he does so many energy blasts in the two films.

Yes but my point is, even comic Superman isn't that fast. Travelling from Earth to the Sun in under a minute? When it takes light 8 minutes to do the same? That's ridiculously beyond lightspeed.

Both Superman and GL have crazy fast travel speed. Multiple times light speed actually. Superman's reaction speed is just under light speed and GL has just human reaction speed but can amp all his/her stats.
