Default Avengers Thor vs Movie Green Lantern

Fully blood lusted. Ring fully charged. Who wins?

Nice fight. Honestly, GL is more versatile, and has very nice autoshields (standing in front of the freakin' Sun for a minute or two isn't exactly easy), while Thor is somewhat faster in combat (CBPH, CBPH+). I'd go with GL by a slight margin, mostly because of the versatility of the ring, and the fact that Thor probably doesn't have the damage output to drain Hal of all his energy (unless Hal just stands here and sends several bolts on him).

Yea i was thinking that. Whilst Thor does have insane durability, Hal was unaffected by the sun. But then, Thor is clearly faster and he can hit hard both physically and with the lightning.

Thor faster? No way. Hal flew from the Earth to the Sun in what appeared to be about a minute, that's faster than lightspeed.

Thats travel speed not reaction time.

And i think that was mainly due to terrible editing hahaha. Flying from Earth to the Sun in one minute is faster than Superman.

Comic Green Lantern could do it amping himself up so I don't see it as any big thing.
Besides the terrible editing arguement falls flat since we go by whats so regardless of how good it looks.

Comic GL couldn't do it. It takes light 8 minutes to go from the Sun to Earth. GL is not that much faster than light, amped or not.

The film not only had terrible editing in that sequence, but it's gotta be PIS because no previous incarnation of GL has ever been able to go that fast.

But doesn't that mean there's no inconsistency? Movie Hal has nothing to do with any other incarnation.

If movie Hal had been to the Sun several times before, and taken hours to get there, then his fast journey would be PIS. But if that one hugely fast feat is his only Earth-Sun feat, surely we just go with it?

    It's ridiculous, I agree. But it's true.

Perhaps autoshields able to resist for a few minutes being not far of the friggin' Sun ^^? Not saying Hal will no sell it, just that he won't feel it that much.

    Indeed.

Not only did he have autoshields of that level, he also DID learn to make shields of his own.

Here against Parallax and here in training against Kilowog. And I'm fairly sure there were more (plus, even if he hadn't specifically made a shield, he CERTAINLY made more complicated constructs, meaning he should be able to make a shield regardless of those instances where he made one).

question is though, would the shield be strong enough to handle Mjolnir ?
