    I have a few points/questions:

1/ I think she looks great, but wonder if the outfit is more Thanagar than ancient Egypt
2/ Interesting that they've gone with Kendra rather than Shayera
3/ Hawkman on Earth Prime and Hawkgirl on Earth 2 - and one villain called Carter Hall 'Katar Hol' recently in Savage Hawkman . . I am wondering if this is all linked somehow

I am loving Earth-2. And Worlds' Finest is great too!

The best part about it is that she'll be a detective. So Hawgirl + detective + Zombies?

Oh i know that Hawkgirl is usually in this sort of getup, but i was thinking that it would be cooler if her suit was alien like her helmet. As it is her clothes are too ordinary for it.

I guess i went a bit overboard with my complaining. It's not really silly.

Some of the zombie's eyes seem to be tinged with green. The cover for #3, with Alan Scott, has skulls or zombie heads awash in emerald flame in the background. Maybe the starheart--or whatever the source of Alan's power is going to be on this earth--is going crazy and reanimating the dead, and Alan has to tame it?

I don't recall any prior Hawkgirls without forearms.

    I love it too

I never would've pictured a Hawkgirl/Hawkwoman sporting blue and black with brown and silver accents before this but this costume just rocks

In the last comicvine podcast, I believe Robinson said his Hawkgirl and Hawkman meeting was something along the lines of "inevitable" despite him seeming rather displeased with the current state of Hawkman.

    WhiteOro,

I don't think I saw that quote before; do you remember what it was from? (EDITED: Never mind, got it. http://www.usatoday.com/life/comics/...ies/54642260/1 )

Maybe Mordru? I think he's on Prime Earth now--isn't he in Demon Knights?--but he could be capable of crossing over.

Or, maybe he's stretching a point and calling hte Starheart itself a "villain," if it's acting up and causing problems because it's not yet under Alan's control.

I thought of Mordru too, being in Demon Knights in the Middle Ages doesn't prevent him from being in Earth 2 now, either actually him or an AU version.
But then again, the "istantily recognizable" comment makes me think of a peculiar looking villain, so The Lucky One could be right with Solomon Grundy. You could argue that Mordru is just a guy, unless you name him he isn't really recognizable.

Starheart could be a good guess too.
EDIT: Wait, yeah, if you consider Mordru original look, you could surely call him "istantly recognizable".

Oh, now I get it. Yeah, silly isn't really the word you were looking for :)

    Lightbulb

Looking at this cover pic some more I'm now starting to wonder, is it just the coloring and lighting or might the new Kendra be African American

He should be displeased, as should we all.

It's fighting with Captain Atom, monthly, to be the worst book in the DCnu.

Robinson should have been writing Hawkman from the word go.

Exactly what I thought when saw it. My only thing is about the wings. Are they blue or white? Hope is blue because white wings remind me of doves, not hawks.
