Sure, he's more exotic looking than Zac Effron, but that's not saying much. To me, Lautner looks like someone you'd see in high school. Admittedly, very cute, but still pretty 'normal.'

For me, the Rock would be perfect playing Black Adam as a villain for a SHAZAM movie. I really don't see him as Namor.

I find Black Adam and Namor to look very similar. As such, I've considered Rock to be good for either one. Black Adam might be better suited to him, though, just due to general characterization.

LOL! Okay, I won't burst your bubble. However, I saw Sasha Roiz on Castle last night, and I'm not so sure... but I was told I need to see his BSG performance.

Ian Somerhalder has an interesting look, but I wasn't that impressed with him in Lost. I haven't seen Vampire Diaries. I do love Josh Holloway, and he's could handle the emotional intensity, but I see him more as Gambit.

A lot of people like Zachary Quinto for Namor, but I don't really see it. Yes, I'm picky when it comes to Namor.

So assuming that the Silver Surfer is almost definitely out due to FOX (here's hoping they use the rights to eventually make him the herald of Galactus instead of for a freaking cloud this time...)

Do you stick with just the original Defenders trio of Strange, Namor, and Hulk? Do you add Valkyrie? Nighthawk? Someone else?

You definitely need to add Valkyrie or Hellcat, or Moondragon, or someone(s) of the female persuasion.

That being said, I agree, as much as I think Dwayne Johnson is great, he can't be Namor, his tenure as the wrestling icon known as the Rock will over shadow the role. It would be better to do like they got a actor of smaller recognition to play the role. They don't have to be wrestling style big, but they should be cut or capable of getting there as there will be multiple scenes without their shirt.

I'm still going for a bulked up Jonathan Rhys Meyers as my choice. I would pay good money to see him beat people up dressed in speedoes.
