    Default Power Rangers Respect Thread

Just for fun, decided to start this up.
Will go from MMPR to Current, so I'll try to keep this running as long as I can.
And oh yeah, since it's a RESPECT THREAD bashing the series/characters/etc is not allowed.
Just wanted to make that clear.

I just recently realised something about the Power Rangers. Their Megazords, and bigger zords as well, use enough power in their final attacks to completely incinerate kaiju-sized monsters. I mean, there's litterally nothing left of the things after the Rangers are done with them. It's one of those obvious things that just kind of hits you, at least for me.

I'm pretty sure we don't do respect threads. I realise that finding a spot to start one for the Power Rangers elsewhere on the Forums might not be the easiest thing, but they tend to get frowned on in Rumbles.

    We don't?

Because I have done a number of them (Sith Lords, PPGs, Asterix) and never had negative commentary of any kind from the mods.

There's the "only three pages per issue per thread" policy which is a concern, particularly when it concerns American comic characters, but that can be worked around if you are careful about what info you pick and whatnot.

*Looks at the four respect threads he's made on Rumbles with no complaint from anyone*

    Are they?

We just don't do respect threads all that often. But I've never seen anyone complain about them.

Good respect threads are generally awesome.

Ok. Fair enough. Colour me wrong then. :)

(And I believe the colour of wrong is beige with a hint of blushing pink).

At the end of the day, if they are correctly done, they work to give non-followers of a particular medium/genre/character some example feats to facilitate "real" Rumbles fights. Ain't nothing wrong with dat.

You make a good point. I can only think of very vew instances where there was enough left of the monsters to regenerate, and those were specific instances.
    there's the Hatchasurus for one.

Anyway, as far as monster destruction goes....

    Hard to top that.

    Here's a nice durability feat.

The Rangers get tossed out of the Megazord, fall all the way to the ground, hit it and get back up to fight.

    Taking shots from their Zords.

The Hatchasaurus was one of the most awesome monsters on the show. Even its heart could dish it out.

I love how the their methodology with the Ultrazord always was "Fire everything until the monster blows up!" They never actually did get around to properly dealing with Lokar did they?

IIRC they did stuff like that quite a lot. Jumping out of the zords and landing completely unharmed I mean.
