How could they be?
Neither has appeared or been mentioned in the movies that i can recall, and Scarlet Witch was never on the team.

Quicksilver has a cameo in Wolverine, actually.

They can use them they just can't call them mutants or mention Magneto. Fox can use them as well but they can't mention the Avengers.

Still not sure if I would want to see them without their connection to Magneto.

I think it was a mistake not to include Carol Danvers in some form or fashion, given that Thor is going Cosmic as opposed to Magical, could have featured her and Mar-Vell there(Whilst continuing to play-up Thanos as a master manipulator, have him engineer a war between the Kree and Asgardians via the Skrulls, or something((I mean, honestly, how FUCKING AWESOME would that be?), and then we can get the ins on the Other and also take him down), that way it makes sense when Mar-Vell, hopefully someone we've come to care about, gets killed/maimed/horribly injured by Thanos and passes his powers onto her.

And I'd make her Captain Marvel too, Nega Bands and all.

Hanky Pym in some small role but not involved in any super heroics, costume seen as sketches or on a monitor.

I agree completely! And even if they didn't want to go the full Kree backstory with Mar Vell like that, she could have a run in with an alien (Kree) artifact as a CIA/SHIELD agent post air force and acquire her powers (I'd go with what she's showing in the cartoon). Either way, Carol is definitely at the top of the list of who I'd like to see added, particularly if they're going the cosmic/Thanos route. We need another lady on the team, and one with powers would be great. I'm having a hard time thinking of any tank/flying brick superheroines that have been depicted on the big screen and the energy absorption/projection is a pretty sweet addition to that. I think her personality would also fit in with the team in an interesting way.

I think an extra pair of titties is really the only way they can IMPROVE on the current lineup. I mean how many heroes that they have the rights to are in THor's class? No one the audience will recognoize.

Make the shield chick Mrs Marvel and call it a day.

One of the best tinsg about this movie is how faithful it stayed to the Original Avenegers comics and the original Ultimate's run. If we have a sequal I'd be happy to see it stay faithful by introducing more "pinacle" Avenegrs like Giant Man, Wasp and Ms Marvel. I really don't want to see them "Wolerverine up" the next mov ie by introducing a bunch of random characters onto the roster, or to the bad guy's team.

Also, if thanos is to be the Big Bad, I think a Captain Marvel movie would be awesome before the next Avengers. Particularly if it introduces Carol Danvers too and gets her superpowers.

Wanda and Pietro would make a perfect Avengers cast. I would love Hank and Jan, too.

Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver just isn't that great of a story to me without their father. Hank and Jan are so well known for domestic abuse, I'd rather them be excluded from The Avengers, especially with it doing this well.

Personally, I'd go for Ms. Marvel and Adam Warlock. Carol can be a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent selected to wear Nega Bands made from Phase 2, but they eventually fuse and become permanent. Since Marvel's already trolling the hell out of DC in not only pulling off The Avengers but using Thanos before Darkseid (who I love) could be adapted to the big screen, why not go all out and use this costume for Warlock? http://imagecache5d.allposters.com/w...8-ELXEG00Z.jpg

I'm really for Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch being put onto the team, but I feel like a good reason to bring on more Avengers is an actor sitting out for a movie then those characters fill in. I wish they could buy the X-Men rights from FOX so they could at least mention mutants living in the Avengers movie world.

I'd like to see Ms. Marvel and Black Panther.

The avengers line up was awesome, but I noticed the same issues some of you pointed out. Namely too many men and a distinct paleness. granted that is how the Avengers started out so i'm fine with it.

However a strong female and a genius king thrown into the mix might make things more interesting. I am of to minds about how to go about introducing them though. If they were introduced in the avengers movie, they each would gain notariety for their own flicks. However it might drag down the tempo of the next avengers movie if thy have to do a back story for each character and they wouldn't get the treatment they deserve.

So perhaps an individual movie for each would be best. I did read rumors about a black panther movie. It is possible they are working that out before the next avengers movie.

Actually a permutation might be best. New characters introduced in their own movies, but one like carol danvers could be integral to the plot of the next movie, starting out as a regular sheild agent and then gaining her powers. There is a danger there of then turning the avengers into the Ms. Marvel movie with some other guys.

Since they already introduced the cosmic route with alien species, introducing Carol is easy as pie, either as a SHIELD agent who was subjected to an experiment a hybrid human-alien or exposed to an unknown alien tech or form of energy.

Black Panther, Vision, Pym, WASP, Wanda, Wonder Man, Shulkie...Hercules would be rather cool, too. Although in a 2 hr flick it would be tough to fit in some of these fine characters' backgrounds. I listed them in order of greatest potential in my opinion.

If Thanos is the next big bad, having a more cosmic oriented character fits.

Plus, just having another female character I think adds a lot.
