Default Should the Black Widow become a crime-fighting partner of Spider-Man?

Since The Black Widow is featured in Amazing Spider-Man: Ends of the Earth storyline, does anyone else feels that she should be one of his reoccurring crime fighting partners as a alternative to The Black Cat? I figured since The Black Cat has crossed over to Daredevil's world, I feel that an exchange for The Black Widow could be ideal since we rarely ever see Spider-Man and The Black Widow working together. I feel that she should have been one of his longstanding crime fighting partners. I like to see more team-up stories between them. Don't you agree?

Can't say that I see anything all that interesting by pairing the two, they're complete opposites.

Although I suppose there can be something interesting mined with Peter's parents being spies and maybe Black Widow having some sort of past tie with them.

I suppose you can argue the fact that they're opposites is what might potentially make them interesting.

That said, I would sort of find it weird if Black Widow spent her time fighting criminals in NY. I think she's more a spy than super hero, so it somewhat seems out of place. Then again, she was DD's sidekick and that's really not that different from being Peters on paper.

She's much better with Winter Soldier.

Though I do think she works with Winter Soldier, after seeing the movie a part of me wonders if she shouldn't give Clint another shot.

But that's probably just recycling things.

Eh,on some I actually wouldn't mind seeing them hook up again at some point— they've both changed a lot since they were together, so it wouldn't just be the same story told over again. But, OTOH, I think it was good for both of them that they broke up. Clint's initial motivation was just being hopelessly in love with Natasha, and he became a better character when they brought him away from that. And I think pairing them up again might get them sucked back into being defined by each other, kind of the way Pepper and Tony are sorta back on even though that was dead in the comics for a long time. It's nice to think some characters can escape their Silver Age love interests, I guess.

I don't think pushing them together right now would feel anything but ham-fisted and artificial for comic readers, though. They're both involved with other people.

Natasha would make for an interesting alternate female crime fighting partner to Felicia Hardy.
But… Peter isn't anything like Bucky or Matt?

I sometimes feel that The Black Widow and Spider-Man could work well together as he sometimes does with Ms. Marvel and Silver Sable. And both Carol and Silver don't necessary fit into Spidey's world either. And a spy is in some ways like a scientist who conducts observation of proof and fact finding.
Silver Sable was created to appear in Amazing Spider-man, so yeah, she does fit pretty well into his world. And Carol doesn't really fit, either, which is why she's only had the occasional team-up with him. I don't think she should become Peter's supporting character either.

No! IMO, their worlds should only extremely rarely intersect outside of Avengers.

If Spidey needs a female spy type character as a partner I'd prefer it if they brought back Silver Sable.

Widow is way too old for Spidey, she's like 100 years old or something

Give Silver Sable to Winter Soldier in exchange for The Black Widow as Spider-Man's partner for a potential story arc. Just like Marvel did when they traded off Black Cat to Daredevil in exchange for The Black Widow for the Ends of the Earth storyline arc. What's wrong with that?

Women aren't just objects to be traded back and forth like that.

Well, Dan Slott had mentioned that when he was writing Ends of the Earth, he wanted to use the Black Cat for the story. However, the writer for Daredevil wanted to use her for his story. Thus, the Black Cat was not available for Dan to use at the time. So he decided to use the Black Widow in place of the Black Cat.
