Default Should the Black Widow become a crime-fighting partner of Spider-Man?

Since The Black Widow is featured in Amazing Spider-Man: Ends of the Earth storyline, does anyone else feels that she should be one of his reoccurring crime fighting partners as a alternative to The Black Cat? I figured since The Black Cat has crossed over to Daredevil's world, I feel that an exchange for The Black Widow could be ideal since we rarely ever see Spider-Man and The Black Widow working together. I feel that she should have been one of his longstanding crime fighting partners. I like to see more team-up stories between them. Don't you agree?

Can't say that I see anything all that interesting by pairing the two, they're complete opposites.

Although I suppose there can be something interesting mined with Peter's parents being spies and maybe Black Widow having some sort of past tie with them.

I suppose you can argue the fact that they're opposites is what might potentially make them interesting.

That said, I would sort of find it weird if Black Widow spent her time fighting criminals in NY. I think she's more a spy than super hero, so it somewhat seems out of place. Then again, she was DD's sidekick and that's really not that different from being Peters on paper.

She's much better with Winter Soldier.

Though I do think she works with Winter Soldier, after seeing the movie a part of me wonders if she shouldn't give Clint another shot.

But that's probably just recycling things.

Eh, I think she is pretty driven to be a superhero, that is what separates her from someone like Nick Fury. She's a spy by her training, but her motivations these days are essentially superheroic. So she'll accept missions to shut down terrorists, but she's also an Avenger, she's always done standard crimefighting in her offdays, and she honestly gets restless when she doesn't— occasionally even swearing off spywork all together because she feels morally compromised by it. That said, she fits more naturally into the gritty organized crime world of Daredevil than she does into Spider-man's science fiction soap opera.

True. But, if The Black Cat isn't around, then The Black Widow could work with Spider-Man every now and again. After seeing his real persona, one might think that Spidey's is more in line with Winter Soldier and Daredevil, which might prompt The Black Widow to establish a real partnership with him outside of The Avengers. Natasha would make for an interesting alternate female crime fighting partner to Felicia Hardy.

I sometimes feel that The Black Widow and Spider-Man could work well together as he sometimes does with Ms. Marvel and Silver Sable. And both Carol and Silver don't necessary fit into Spidey's world either. And a spy is in some ways like a scientist who conducts observation of proof and fact finding.

No! IMO, their worlds should only extremely rarely intersect outside of Avengers.

Say that to Ms. Marvel, Spider-Woman, and Silver Sable who do not normally intersect in Spider's world outside of The Avengers or Heroes of Hire either. But they are more than willing to come to his aid. Not to mention that Daredevil and Spider-Man have a good working relationship, as well as the fact that The Black Cat in now part of Matt's world. So it's only fair for The Black Widow to come into Spidey's world in exchange for The Black Cat.

Yes, this is how fictional characters/women operate.

Only if Peter can tap it.
Kurt Busiek Says:"Best Avengers Run, Steve Englehart's run in the 1970s. With Roy Thomas's run that preceded it close behind, and the Conway/Shooter/Michelinie run that followed close behind that

You would have to wait a very longtime for that to happen. But, I still believe that a working relationship outside of The Avengers might be possible as they have worked together in the past before when Spider-Man wasn't a member of The Avengers. And I am referring to the idea of expanding Spidey's female crime fighting partners to 6 heroines besides The Black Cat. This way, if The Black Cat is not available, then The Black Widow could be used in her place, depending on the story.
