Default X-Men Mutant Genesis 2.0 (Recolored edition)

Mutant Genesis 2.0 the recolored HC of X-Men #1-7 is out this Wednesday according to comic retailers, though it doesn't hit Amazon for a couple weeks apparently.

Anyways, what do you think? When I first saw the preview page and a couple panels a while back, I actually wasn't sure if it fit better than the old stuff. I actually don't find the original coloring to be bad at all. Has there been a 6-page preview anywhere? I'd like to see more before plunking down for it, especially since it's a bit pricey for 7 issues. I hope the colorist is getting more than usual for this edition.

There is no amount of recoloring and digitization that can make Jim Lee's art bearable to my eyes.

I can agree with you on Jimenez though. For some odd reason Cruz and Mad Dog were my favorite.

As corny as Jim Lee's art might seem today, I still can't look at it without turning back into the kid from the early 90's that thought it was the kewlest art I'd seen in my short life.

Greg Capullo was always > Jim Lee, and he's kicking ass on Batman right now.

What is the appeal behind Lee's art, anyway? I just don't get it.
