These sales figures have also made me think about DCs "aggressiveness" since the launch of the Nu52. DC have really been giving Marvel a run for money lately (especially in the closing months of the last year when they dominated) but i still feel there is room for improvement. The lesser selling DC titles have virtually fallen off a cliff (while Marvel's have largely remained steady even though they might not have titles in the top 10) even some top sellers (like Superman) are still finding their level.
I think the Nu52 and BW (with its insane sales incentives attached) show that Warner are pumping effort and investment into DC, and the musical chairs with Harras, Chase, Lobdell is more evidence of that. It seems there is very real pressure on DC from the higher ups at WB to make good on their investment.
All in all, i think its good for the industry that there is so much competition, it can only bring out the best in everyone.
I also think people should look at Image, big, big things are going on there.
