Mogo Doesn't Socialize

Does anyone know why the planet at the end [spoiler]Mogo[/spoiler] is depicted as being blue?
Is that an error due to the way comics were colored in the past or was it a conscious decision?

Also, I really liked that story and of course Tomar-Re.

I always thought it was just a coloring error, wasn't the revealed logo made up of the trees of the planet (which were in other shots depicted as green)?
