Gee u ever think that maybe as the story unfolds we'll see why that Talon let her live, or even why this mystery man is even there. But whatever, i guess she's just a huge mary sue now for getting beat, and mysteriously spared.

I reread Batman 8 just to check a detail on this and there is even a deputy sheriff who was kill by the talons, and most ppl being shown to die are low level officers too but we know that even the mayor is being attack

Its very obvious that Jim is being target to die
so why isnt he being attack?

Batman wouldnt respond, he is being attacked AT HIS HOUSE, at that very moment

not to mention that if he gets killed then he wont turn on the batsignal

I thought that was pretty much gonna be Batgirl trying to save his dad from the talons but instead we got

how can Gail screw up a plot so simple?

and Batgirl is just a huge mary sue, thats why she wasnt attacked by Talon

I honestly believe that Gail is sabotaging this book from the inside, there is just no way that she turn into such a crappy writer so fast

To be fair, plot is also what governs Batgirl being put in a position where she needs to be spared, too. If the plot didn't require the Talon mysteriously letting her live, then she wouldn't have been put in the position in the first place. The plot governs everything in this world.

you cant honestly say to me that this isnt forced
that one of enemies that had constantly killed so many ppl in gotham and are aware of this rival organization of ppl dress as bats just let Batgirl live, for whatever reason

end of spoilers or whatever it was?

As FHIZ mentions, it happens all the time with title characters.

This will be my first issue of Batgirl in the new 52. I don't have any plans to continue the book, but I hope I get pleasantly surprised. I've always been a fan of Babs.

Because this particular talon is a one-shot story character who probably has her own partial agenda maybe? Guess we won't know for sure until the actual comic comes out, yes?

To be fair, plot is also what governs Batgirl being put in a position where she needs to be spared, too. If the plot didn't require the Talon mysteriously letting her live, then she wouldn't have been put in the position in the first place. The plot governs everything in this world.

ok, i should explain that "cause the plot says so" is a saying meaning that there is no good reason for the characters to do what they are doing

Well, if we're being that accurate, it's the case with every single thing that happens in any situation.

ok i can accept that you bring a pretty good point but the fact is not that they didnt killed him, they planned to kill him, they capture him and lock him up so that they could punish him and then kill him

Again, this particular talon is a one-shot character. I believe her backstory is explained as being an actress from the 1950's from an article I read a few weeks back. This particular talon probably may not even be all that bad and simply wants Batgirl to take her out so she can properly die in peace. But it's all conjecture and we have to wait a few days, so there's nothing inconsistent until we know how it all ties together now.

Back on track of the actual issue itself, I agree with what someone else said that the art does seem sharper this issue. Guess that's why they had two guest pencillers last issue.

Exactly. Each Talon is their own character, and obviously there is more to why she didn't just kill Batgirl when she had her there.

rather than just any reason
