This book has so obviously gotten over it's slightly creaky start from the first 4 issues having to deal with TKJ baggage. Batgirl is now fairly confident and I LOVED how spoilers:end of spoilers Can't pick up my copy until Thursday but can't wait to see how this issue turns out! This is the #1 book I look forward to every month now!
peeved James was at having Barbara's life threatened by the Owls. You DON'T threaten JIM'S family and get away with it!
I also wonder in that last preview panel if Bab's is going to get introduced to Alysia's new boyfriend! If that does happen it will be a family reunion that Alysia will be surprised by to be sure!

Geez, TKJ gets brought up every issue it seems like.
The Talon's actions were very curious to say the least. Looking forward to this one.
Less and less actually, but blame those who demanded Bab's get rehab from TKJ and not be allowed a full-on reboot to just move past it with a fresh 100% start. It's going to be present still but it's emphasis is definitely shrinking in terms of the Gordon family narrative.
Hm, what with how Batgirl's 2-issue fight with Grotesque was timeline wise and how this issue opened, I wonder if it's going to become a common trope to have the story open at the middway point in future issues, what with this issue opening with Batgirl spoilers:end of spoilers
fighting the Owl midfight.

Looks good. I liked the "she moves like Nightwing" comment, makes sense.
By that you mean Simone, right? Pretty much from the very beginning of the new 52 talk it was said this was going to be a Batgirl who was recovering from The Killing Joke(even though she had 20 real life years of doing so under her belt in the preboot continuity). I don't think you can blame the fans for that.
Not bad. The art looks better than in previous issue.
Although I wish they stopped with the "After a savage attack in TKJ, Babs returns to the streets!" intro. We get it. I didn't like it in other comics and I don't like it here.
Why do I have the feeling that Alysia is involved in something fishy?
Heh, you'd think that Commissioner Gordon would be one of the people the Court of Owls sentences to die no?, nope, instead they just warn him not to light the bat signal.... i don't get it.
