No offense to anyone out there, but I'm mostly dismissive of the TDKR trailer theory. Although I'm sure it's possible, I just don't see how that many people would pay to see one trailer in this internet age (though I'm sure Meet Joe Black might argue otherwise, with it's attached Phantom Menace trailer).
I think the 3D theory holds more weight, but I'd like to see an official breakdown to be sure. The link below estimates 52% of the domestic take was attributed to 3D tickets:

Has anyone out there found a corroborating report, specific figures, or any other breakdown at all?
I'm not really interested in starting a pi$$ing contest, but I am extremely taken aback by how important/profitable 3D showings seem to currently be, and would just like to see how much they figure into the tally.
I always viewed them as more of a ripoff than anything else, but maybe I've been wrong all of this time.
