Kind of tough to say for sure if there is or isn't any middle ground since we don't even know exactly what either plans on doing. More importantly they don't know what either actually plans on doing.

It's entirely possible that there's more middle ground between them than we or they actually know. But we'll never know for sure, because again Cyclops decided to turn it into a fight.

It should also be noted that Cyke ignores advice from his own team, like the idea of Hope being able to have a choice in the matter proposed by Emma. Not really a good action from a leader.

I think Cap is started extremely out of character in A vs. X. Cap would've been like "I know you've been through alot since M-Day Scott. I know you're tense, but we can work this out. Between your X-Men's experience with the Phoenix and my Avengers, which, well, I mean, we're the Avengers! We can solve this with no problem right? Let us help. Tell me your plan, let me tell you mine, and certain two smart guys like us can figure something out so we don't put the whole planet in danger!"

I know Scott is on edge, but even he would've had to been like, "Okay, so long as we're respecting Hope and the mutant race, this isn't a bad idea. Never a bad call to have a Hulk and Thor on the field, incase SHTF." The tactician in him alone would've seen the positives of this plan, even if he was manipulating it the whole time.

Then I read A vs. X #3, and I see Cap is simply misinformed. He called Wolvie out on how he was taking this too far, and even the best solider can only operate with the intelligence he's given. And that is exactly what Cap is doing.

So, I suppose Cap is slightly out of character, to justify the event, but he won some points with me in A vs. X #3 for atleast not trying to kill a teen girl in unsubstantiated fear.

He's trying to do right. That's Cap.

I don't agree with him, I'm X all the way, but I can see his point of view enough to appericate the series has gotten a whole lot better as the characters on both sides now seem to be acting more according to who they are instead of what makes this cross over work.

Props to marvel for recovering the fumble.

I'm getting AvX 3 this weekend, but it sounds like it's getting better. But I'm Avengers all the way, and if what you say is true then it's Wolvies fault?
