The Avengers need a videogame

I think it's problem is, it was a beatem up, which is about the most simple game on earth, and there were much much better beatem ups.
I am shocked it has no game though, i just read it could be the 4th highest grossing movie of all time or some such, and im sure that toys and merch in general is going to be giant for this thing. Skipping on a videogame is just weird.

Apparently THQ paid 16 million for the rights to do the game, so Marvel made out ok. Especially when you consider no one will have to play a sub par game.

I'm surprised they didn't have an Avengers game in the works already. I for one would love a new Ultimate Alliance-type game, but not if the only playable characters are those in the film.

I played that recently, it's not very good.
I remember it being much much better, but i was probably 7 when i played it in arcades.

Yeah, that game didn't really hold up well. I played that at a bar about a year ago and being even being drunk didn't help it seem good.

Movie based games tend to suck almost all the time. I can do without an official movie tie-in game

I really like the Spider-Man movie games and the Superman Returns game, but for the free play, which may be hard to do with so many characters.

I just finished playing The Avengers java mobile game before reading this thread, simply because I want to play an Avengers game and yet can't find it anywhere else, lol.
