Default Why hasnt a decent X-Men: Origins movie ever been made?

Surely it would have been the most obvious first movie to make, an Origin story that just included the original X-men vs The Brotherhood, they tried with X-Men back in 2000 but in my opinion it failed, Rogue and Wolverine should NOT have been there, and the actors were way too old, they should have been teens. Maybe they could have thrown in a few sentinels.

The second movie could have introduced Wolverine and Weapon X, and the third could have been any of the other countless awesome X-Men stories, maybe The Dark Phoenix saga or The age of apocolypse.

It was called X-Men: First Class, and it was almost exactly what you described minus sentinels.

While it took many liberties from the source material (what comic movie hasn't), X-Men First Class is as good an X-Men origin movie as you're likely ever to see.
Origin movies, however, are a bit played out. For the next X-Men movie (and there is sure to be one considering how successful Avengers has already proven to be), I wouldn't mind if they would just dive in, dispense with all the laborious backstory and let the audience fill it in with their imagination or preexisting knowledge.

Yeah I like the diverse Avengers movie team. One white woman.
What is this, Horseville? Because I'm surrounded by naysayers.

Thor is technically a foreigner, the woman is actually Russian, and Hulk is green.

The 05 story is simply not that interesting or innovative anymore. Back in the day it was interesting because the superhero tropes weren't played out yet. These day? With so many super hero movies and TV shows? Not so much.
VIVA KUSASAN!!! Morrison On Magneto: I made him into a stupid old drug-addicted idiot. CC had done a lot of good work over the years to redeem the character. And I went in and sh*t on all of it.

Except i completely disagree about X-men first class, it was a good movie, BUT the only original X-men it had was Beast, the others were there way before their time, how difficult would it have really been for them to cast Iceman, Jean, Cyclops and the original Angel? Not that difficult really. As for the race thing, The Avengers movie has 6 white actors play the main cast. So that shouldnt really be a problem in todays society.

The 05 is tired. Thats why.

There's a reason they NEVER start with those 5 when they adapt the X-Men to other media. Too many other toys to play with now.

I think it would be cool to have a movie where Prof X meets Sage and then sends her off to spy for him. That would function as an X men origins film. Plus, not much of it has been shown in the comics, so fans couldn't get butthurt that it contradicted something that saw print 40 years ago.

X-Men First Class was definitely a good movie, and was far better than what Singer, Ratner, and Hood had contributed to the X-Men mythos. With that said, part of the issue is that nobody is willing to step on the foot of Singer's and Ratner's trilogy. Yes, the First Class movie took some liberties - but both Fox and the First Class team have made it clear in nearly every interview that they are stilly trying to play within the continuity of the Singer/Ratner trilogy. So I highly doubt that we will ever have a definitive X-Men movie until somebody finally comes along and buries that lackluster trilogy and does their own thing.

I couldn't care less about the rest of the MU or the Avengers, but after seeing the awesome spectacle that was the Avengers movie - it is even more saddening to see what the X-Men movies are left with.

I'm hoping that the X-men First Class films will be a new trilogy, and that the third and final one will introduce a young Cyclops, Storm and Jean Grey who are taught by Xavier and Beast. Throw in Thunderbird and a female Sunfire, who by the film's end die and leave the team respectively, and this pretty much establishes the origin of the X-men we meet in the very first X-men movie. At the same time, Fox should establish a side franchise in The New Mutants which runs in the present day and also continue the separate Wolverine franchise with Hugh Jackman as well as Deadpool (assuming the Deadpool movie is successful). Much like Marvel Studios did with the Avengers, they should seed each movie with cameos by characters from the other films (e.g., Deadpool appearing briefly in The New Mutants or in an after the credits scene) and build towards a massive fourth X-men film set in the present day. But they shouldn't call it X4, rather this should be kind of like a new beginning for the franchise that takes place a few years after X3 and where they recast most (if not all) of the characters from the original X-men trilogy (both to cut down on cost as well as because some of these actors are getting on in years). Call it 'X-men: Mutant Genesis' or something like that and move away from Magneto as the main bad guy. Throw in the Sentinels and/or Sinister and the Marauders...something like that. Have some of the New Mutants cast appear, give us a fight between Cable and Wolverine, bring back Cyclops (we never saw a body in X3), etc. It could work IMO.
