I would try your local shop and see if they can mail your books to you once a month. My local shop does this all of the time.
You are missing his multiple points.
1) He doesn't want to.
2) No one will charge him upfront for a year's worth of books. He's a special snowflake and doesn't want to follow the business model that is the most convenient for just about everyone else on the planet instead of learning to budget his money month to month.
3) WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
Well I Canceled My Subscriptions today and have just decided maybe i shouldn't be supporting DC Anymore or maybe i shouldn't be messing with comics in general

For Diamond Distributor's quantity (vs. dollar) ranking in April http://www.diamondcomics.com/Home/1/...ticleID=121105,
* Action Comics = 6th
* Batman = 2nd
* Detective Comics = 7th
* Justice League = 3rd
* Batgirl = 33rd
* Batman and Robin = 17th
* Batman: The Dark Knight = 8th
* Catwoman T+ = 52nd
* The Flash = 14th
* Green Arrow = 84th (but possible TV show in the works?)
* Green Lantern = 5th
* Green Lantern Corps = 35th
* Nightwing = 29th
* Supergirl = 60th
* Superman = 13th
* Teen Titans = 23rd
* Wonder Woman = 25th
(NOTE: I didn't list rankings for other DC New 52 non-Dark books that may have done well.)
On the other hand,
Batwoman was 32nd (though she's not part of the Dark line),
Swamp Thing was 40th,
Animal Man was 59th,
Justice League Dark was 63rd,
So I'm not sure how the Dark line qualifies as "the most successful" line in the New 52.
I think DC decided which books to cut from the subscription service based on sales through the subscription channel , as opposed to anywhere else. Aquaman was one of the books dropped, and that's a Top 10 book in the Direct Market. With the exception of Batgirl, all the books left are books that were previously available through DC's subscription service. I'd guess that not enough new customers signed on for the new books for DC to make a sufficient profit from them.
On the wider topic of the OP's experiences with DC's subscription department, I can certainly smypathise. I'm having major difficulty with them as well, so I understand the need to vent.
My comic collection. Go on, have a look. You know you want to.

And also, do we really know how the subscription system works at DC?
Do they just send them out all from the same building / complex where they are printed, or do they have to ship those issues to a separate location where they then get stored and later processed?
If the latter, it may not be very cost-effective to ship out a lot of titles that aren't as in high demand (subscription-wise) to a distant, separate location as it it to just offer several of their most popular (again, subscription-wise) titles.
By Successful i meant consistently in the spotlight and people always talking about them being proud of buying some of the dark comics
Since the original thread topic is no longer relevant, we will bring this discussion to a close.
If anyone wants to continue a general discussion of DC's subscription policies, I suggest starting a new thread on the DC Comics forum.
