Trouble with mp3s

I hope someone here knows what's going on. I've been trying to add extra genres to my mp3s. Apparently my Windows or whatever you need supports it. But every time I add more than one genre to an mp3 and then hit "apply" and close the properties window, when I open it again the extra genre is gone. What's going on here? How do I get these changes to stick?

I had to get an ID3 tag editor. The one I use is a freeware called MP3Tag [ mp3tag.de ], but there are others. You can edit any of the info fields, even change the album covers or whatever.

Thanks!! That sounds so...convoluted. But if that's the way it has to be done, well, that's what I'm going to do. I blame Microsoft.

Get a mac with iTunes, that will improve not just your mp3's but your life!

MP3tag is an excellent program, super easy to use - highly recommended. And it's free!

Yes iv tries MP3 tag. It works well. You can go for it.
