Just reading up on the film on other threads, but it seems like mourning for Agent Coulson might be a little... premature.

And not in the "He's coming back as the Vision or an LMD" sort of way.

It would be very easy to bring him back. The medics arrived just as Agent Coulson stopped talking. Fury tells everyone the medics said Coulson passed, but it could have just been part of his lie to motivate the Avengers.

With the "push" being a big part of what got the Avengers to work together, I wouldn't be surprised if Nick Fury orchestrated that all himself and the Coulson we saw was actually just an LMD.

I sort of figured this would happen, but then Coulson got such a promotional push, I thought they weren't going to go there, and started to get interested in the character. I haven't seen the movie yet, but this kind of irritates me.

That said, I think the simpler revival would just be "Nick Fury was lying." We don't actually see the paramedics fail to revive him, and Fury explicitly used his death to manipulate the team. I wouldn't have been remotely shocked to see him turn up alive at the end.
I actually thought that might be the extra scene they shot a few weeks ago.

The movie actually did do a pretty darn good job of making you care about the character. That was one of the many aspects of the movie that I think they handled quite well.

Honestly as much as I was pissed at Loki killing him, as long as his death was mourned and no one forgot about him I really don't see the need to bring him back. I honestly can't understand the ridiculousness of the Vision/Captain Marvel rumor.

I'm thinking either a LMD or a video recording.

    Or he just didn't die.

Although if he didn't die, I think that might undercut the bond between the team members to fight for someone's memory.

I'm torn. I liked Agent Coulson, thought his death was pretty well done. But I want him to still be around because Clark Gregg is awesome in all the Marvel (Well, the two or three he starred in) flicks.

Him being an LMD all along might satisfy me, but it would be bittersweet satisfaction.
I know Kevin Nichols through a guy that knows a gal. Small world!
