No watering can? I'm kind of disappointed.

So, um, WW's second book - how would she fix the EU's economic problems?

I think the continued action of fighting Centaurs on bridges is quite helping the Automobile Insurance business. Superheroes create jobs. They especially like it when they lift cars and toss them. Another data-entry clerk for State Farm goes into orientation classes on Monday.

Europe is deep at the heart of Islamophobia; Switzerland a direct democracy voted to ban minarets from the nation, France's burka bans, while in Norway, a Christian-right winger killed 76 people, most of whom were kids to stop Islamic encroachment. Dont even get me started on the rise of far right fascist and Neo-Nazi parties (especially in Germany, where there is a lot of Turkish workers). So as of now no, but in the future Europe may become just as intolerable place or more so than the US.

Im not even sure where this conversation is coming from though, Azz WW has so far been set in England (I dont know where Zola is from, the South maybe?) Ive noticed writers from England are often the first to include their homeland into comics (Milligan in Red Lanterns).

what I mean to say, is that she is not even a nationalistic character anymore. Sure she is in England right now, but her costume does not say, America on it like the past.

Not that I don't find the discussion fascinating, but it's gettin' a wee bit off WW ;)
    But, Gael,

Lew Zealand and his boomerang fish act should be included in every thread!

Come to think of it, Lew and Silver Age Diana DO share a lot of resemblance......

ETA: To follow up on AW's post -- I always thought a DC version of Damage Control would be great -- especially since Marvel couldn't resist the urge to screw it up...

Some days a girl wants to ride ponies. Some days a girl wants to punch tanks. Today ... is a tank day.

I thought the watering can was to help us grow.

And I could be wrong, but I just don't picture our lovely mod with hoes and crooks.

Zola's from Virginia (according to WW #1).

The conversation came from the question of whether or not it's OK that Diana's living outside the US. To me, it's fine, and it would also be fine if she lived in the US.

Maybe she had two titles, she could have homes in two different countries. (There--does that save me from the rake or trowel? )
The obvious outcome is not inevitable. The most obvious interpretation is not always the best.

someone is kissing some touche, me however, I imagine mods live in a den where they devour the souls of children!

Besides, a crook has always been a symbol of leaders. The Pharaohs carried on (along with a flail, which is a farm implement), and Jesus is often depicted as a shepherd...

If the book is going to continue in its supernatural/horror vein, Virginia would beat London all to hell. Lovecraftian varmints, mad Confederate ghosts, and feuds that continue beyond the grave are far superior to pale white ladies and dead boy princes, when it comes to ghosts and monsters.

Well, she can visit both Virginia and London, no? Plus, if there is a second book, there's even more room to explore, adventure, punch things. etc.

Christian Weston chandler lives in Virginia, he would make a good character for WW to fight
