I dont think thanos needs to be the direct villian of the sequel. I rather see him come down the tube in a Avengers three.

Looked like he was already wearing a glove to me.

Either way, I plan to wait for Iron Man 3 to see what role he will play in the background.

At the start he did not, he wanted the cube for bigger unseen worlds. That said he probably is interested in it now because it beat his army and Loki, which no one expected. The cube is gone now. Maybe he will make a play to get the Infinity Gauntlet from Odin and start to destroy Earth to demand it be returned or something like that? Who knows. All sorts of things open.

wtf at the most liked comment on that video. I knew who Thanos was even BEFORE I was into comics. He's universally loved by even mainstream comic fans.
Maybe the lackey was referring to The Avengers. Thanskull (what I'm calling a Red Skull/Thanos hybrid) wouldn't know about them.

When i watched the movie it looked more as Thanos liked the chalange that would be to conquer Earth after being advised not to do that because of the Avengers.

You guys have brought up some interesting points. I agree: I think we'll get classic "Death = love, so let's make war" Thanos testing his strength against Earth's Mightiest Heroes. I also found the whole "interstellar races are all pretty savage" take to be interesting, specifically the idea of the Kree and Humans being linked. After all, if Thanos is going to be the Big Bad of the next movie - or even of the whole trilogy?! - it makes sense that we may get the inclusion of Captain Mar-Vell, and perhaps Ms. Marvel by extension. I think considering they are (technically) both Avengers who bare the name of the company - not to mention they are both pretty popular in their own right - it doubly makes sense.

How would you guys feel about the Marvels as mainstream movie stars instead of Hank and Jan?

-Pav, who is actually kind of digging how "big" the Avengers movie felt because of it's cosmic antagonists...
