Suffering is a fact of life. You survive if you find a reason to endure it.
Going OT for a second; does anyone else really hate that they keep calling it a scythe when it looks nothing like a scythe. It's an axe!
Yes we saw what ONE Turok-Han could do. And yet in the final battle, Giles, Xander, Anya, Dawn, Mr. Wood and Andrew are able to fight off and kill droves of them. So Buffy killing a bunch of "those" Turok-Han (i.e. shown to be far weaker than the original one) really isn't that impressive.
Sorry, but that really bugged me. I can buy that the Slayers all being empowered at once may have given them a huge surge in confidence and strength, allowing them to mow down Turok-Han like cannon fodder, but regular humans doing it? I just thought it marred what was admittedly still an awesome climactic battle.
I have to agree with that. Comic version of Cap would be a different story, but movie version not so much.
Beg your pardon but wouldn't that be a case of SM VS. FL? Seeing as it only happened once and was inconsistent with previous showings.
True.

Sounds good to me.
I'm pretty sure that bugged everyone. As KJ mentioned, it's the "Conservation of Ninjutsu" philosophy that is hyper-prevalent in fiction. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Conservation%20of%20ninjutsu
I'm undecided. Captain America's shield and Buffy's scythe are standard gear, right?
On one hand, Buffy's a better fighter (by a very small margin, mind you) and has better reflexes. She's about as durable as Cap'n, maybe a little more.
On the other, Captain America's a little stronger, has better damage soak (after getting shot down by a Chitauri energy weapon, which are far more powerful than the handgun that would've killed Buffy, Captain America got right back up and kept fighting), and has a better weapon.
This is a really good fight. It's a very close one.

I mean, she caught a sword being plunged directly at her, by Angelus, who has some level of enhanced strength and speed, between her hands. She clearly has superhuman reflexes and speed.
Also, Tomzilla, when you say Buffy's a little more durable but Cap has better damage soak, that confuses me. aren't they the same thing? and she seems to have more consistent showings of taking huge hits from superhumans directly to the body, no shield and no body armor.
