Man, she has two Eisners and a GLAAD award. And I for one am glad that she's not tying into Night of the Owls. Batwoman has now become the only comic I'm still reading in monthly form because I just can't wait for the trade.

What has she done do to earn it? I'm sorry, but the current arc with it's scattered time glimpses is really a turn-off (and a tad confusing).

Batwoman gets plenty of praise as a title. And her creative team simply don't want to participate in crossovers with other Batfamily titles at the moment.

Or indeed to other, female Batfam members who shall go unnamed. Batwoman has a solid, critically acclaimed book that gets a ridiculously good artist each even arc, and a near as good one on the odd. Seems like editorial respects her. And the fans do respect it, and it has very respectful sales figures. The only criticism of the first arc I remember was that it was hard to read digitally. No other book had that complaint. Every other book people could wait to read the floppy, but the prospect of getting a mere physical copy that could be damaged was anathema to readers who wanted to savour its awesomeness and carry it with them digitally everywhere they went.
